These pieces just make me smile so much. I understand they are marmite personified and the New Orleans pimp connection is very strong, but Clint cannot have been wrong.....can he? Anyone here got one and care to share pictures and views? Is it worth my while searching one out, or would I ultimately be disappointed?

Whats not to like, I like tt watches and would like one of these. Go for it.
I bought one last year, got it on a brown croc and i love it, nice with a suit just that bit less blingy. Not quite ready to move it on yet.

Off jubilee and on leather they are sublime.
Oldie -
I think you should hunt one down.
Theyre different to black dial TT GMT. Much mellower and slightly less abrasive in their colouring.
But. They go from spot on to pimp daddy with the bracelet on. Beware

I'm a big fan, that look great on the croc strap Jocke.
They look fabulous on a leather strap but, for me at least, not so much on a tt jubilee. Because of a, for Rolex, limited production run, they'll probably be a good investment though
My resolve is cracking! Some great watches here. So, who wants to sell?!😜
In solid gold - now we re talking!.

Sadly my photographs do not do any watch justice - least of all this one, but for what it's worth, here's mine.
To the OP, I would say you really do need to think about whether or not you want to own one of these. Two-tone isn't for everyone, and as you rightly point out, this really is something of a marmite watch, but I wouldn't be without mine.
I think deep down inside I'd always wanted a Rootbeer since seeing one many years back in a shop up in the Burlington Arcade. This particular example found its way to me through the forum as an untouched full set from 1979 (birth year) at a good price, and I simply couldn't turn it down.
It has some ageing to the dial and where the lacquer is staring to go just around the edges it glints bright red in the sunshine, whilst the rest of the dial changes from brown to a lovely copper colour.
I personally love the jubilee and it really is a pleasure to wear - it is pretty unnoticeable on the wrist when compared to my more modern GMTs and depending on which way you look at it, it's utterly cool.
Well I think so anyway, but then I have to admit....... I've never actually been that cool at all really.
Good luck with your search - Stephen Hale have one as listed for sale on their website which might me worth a look.

Some great info and pics here. Thank you. The full on gold version loses some of the contrast that the TT offers, which is part of the latter's charm.
PM22, I will follow up that lead.
I love the golds and browns in these. Reminds me of my first car. A BMW 635 CSI on a W reg when I was 17 in 1990. It was Kashmir Gold with Mocha Velour.
It's nice (ish), but I'd prefer one of the Serti GMT's or Sub's
It's just a matter of time...
Did someone say Serti Sub?😜
I quite like the serti dials.
There's a TT GMT with a steel serti dial. Nice.
Such a marmite watch, I am off the hate side of things. Cannot believe Rolex made this, and that people buy it!

I'm not so much of a gold fan but last year there was someone on here who had a molded hever root beer that I would love to own.
