Strap for white dial- need help

I recently got into strap making after looking for a brown strap option.

Now, I need your opinion about a strap for this white dial watch.
Is this one too rough for the classic look of the watch ?
Should I go for a shiny, thinner leather?
Pics with your white dial would be appreciated.

I would say the strap needs to be a more orange shade of brown and the stitching whiter. Maybe a padded strap? That’s just my opinion.

Any wrist shots? I personally don't think that matches up particularly well but it is hard to say for sure until you see it being worn.

I have a lighter brown leather and I was thinking about padding too

I went with a tan leather strap with contrast stitching for my Marine Chronometer and I like the look. I think the strap is too rough for that Oris tbh...

That strap color got me into making straps. I couldn't find one and buying online takes to much time so I tried making one. I started with a simpler design to see if I can do it.
Now I will try to make a padded one

    That's much nicer.

I like blue straps with white stiching on truly white dials/steel cases but that's just a personal thing.

I have some blue leather. I was going to use it as lining but I I'll try to make a strap out of it.
    Thanks for the idea!

Blue is a good call, I think it dresses down my Sarb a bit (apologies for terrible dark pic)

Not a great picture but I happen to like this combination. I don't think it would work with an ivory or off-white dial. Looking forward to seeing your next effort.
