Collectible Datejust

Hi guys, are their any particular Datejusts that have become collectible? Or in ur opinions could?
They don't seem to instil the same passion as Daytona, subs or explorers.

Buckley dials, wide boys, anything with dauphine, and the auto in the OQ case - all collected.

Older Datejusts aren't rare, they sold in far greater numbers than Subs and Daytonas. Generally, the newer the watch the more it's worth, and the older acrylic crystal models have always fetched lower prices than later sapphire glass models. Possibly that's changing? Condition has a huge effect on values, lots of very tired examples out there that are best avoided.

Without sounding disingenuous, if any of us were able to predict what brands/models were going to appreciate or become sought after in future we'd all be straight on that bandwagon. There are plenty of lovely vintage DJs out there - buy whatever catches your eye (if you're really set on vintage) and don't worry about the value.

I`ll echo the comments above. An old Datejust in nice condition is a thing of beauty, and the acrylic glass models have a certain appeal that the later ones lack. Compared to Subs and Daytonas they have neither the snob appeal nor the big price tags......no bad thing in my view.
