The owner of the blog has one and there's a few demos around.

There's a screenshot of a letter sent to the Omega Boutiques that confirms they will all be sent between July and September. ID will be checked and any not collected are to be allocated to Omega' s wait list.
Interestingly they don't tell the OB to return it.

A updated article for anyone who has not seen it:

Thanks for that. No leather or wooden box! Not liking the sound of that though. Love the boxes that come with watches.

I love them too but actually just thought I was quite pleased this doesn't come with one. I've never truly known what to do with the boxes. Without having them on display (I've no room), they're just more "things" that take up space which I won't get rid of for obvious reasons.

Exactly. Unnecessary fluff........other than the PP ones, which are awesome.

Does the price actually reflect lack of box? Ich don't think so.

Price seems reasonable to me and I really don't care if it comes in a box or not.

Of course you don't - I mean, who'd care if their £5k luxury watch purchase didn't even come with a box? That said, it is a bit of a gimmick watch so perhaps it really doesn't matter?

Some of the above comments are just plain daft. You get a leather watch roll in lieu of a fairly useless lined box. Go figure which is the more useful.

A leather roll is very Bremontesque.

It is indeed! More interesting than a traditional box, though?

It's an unusual departure. I'm not sure the Omega fans will be very happy with the prospect.

Be easier to post, I am sick of paying £30 a time for those big heavy boxes, keep the cost to a tenner and it maximises the profit.

Well this Omega fan is sick of having to find space for the recent boxes, which seem to be ever increasing in both size and weight. You can't wear the box so I am fine with a small leather roll.

Maybe that's why Omega did it, doing a favour for all those flippers.

I wonder, increasingly, whether the original idea for this watch was that a lot of non-Omega fans got hold of them.

A watch advertised primarily through omegas social media channels and website? I'd have thought the majority of people that knew of it are existing owners.

Pretty sure the package was announced with leather roll. I don't see a need for a box in addition. You could always ask anyone disappointed in this to give up their reservation...

A bit of a over the top comment, I'm sure people would not turn down the watch because of the box.

I rather think this was a very tongue in cheek comment. 😉

Got an email from Omega this morning...
My heart skipped a beat I really got exited...

Unfortunately it was telling me that the boutique in Westfield Stratford was closing and i needed to pick another shop. Handy as I thought I had requested the Westfield in Shepherd's Bush, the wait continues.

I've ordered one through a grey dealer but it's the base model. What's what would be classed as a good price?

Do you mean you've ordered a hesalite Speedmaster moonwatch?

What did you pay? Surely best to ask re: price before buying!

I paid £2.5k for mine last month via Ryan's deal, but I believe AD / grey prices are around £3k

Omega phoned you personally from Switzerland.....are they going to phone 1200 customers, from Switzerland? All a bit odd . An e-mail would have done the job.

Considering they've cut out the dealer margin, I hardly think they're worried about a few phone calls

Is that the first one then from lawnmowerman78

Sorry, but it looks like something from the Newcastle United Football Club shop.

This is going to help with what I thought was a difficult decision

Don't think the nato suits it in all honesty. Mine will live on the leather.

The nato with white stripes was always going to look bulky and a little gimmicky, even more so in the pics I've seen. Vintage leather, rubber or sailcloth seems the way to go if you don't fancy putting it on a bracelet.

I'd rather they put a bit extra into a decent OEM leather strap as it looks a bit pants in the promo pics.

Come on lawnmowerman, spill the beans, have you taken delivery or did you have access to one of the prototypes at some event.
