I'll be ordering one of these and a depolyant, how long did delivery take ?

I wonder if the Omega boutique staff would fit it for me when I go to collect the ST ?

Ordered one today - I'll fit it to my current Speedy and if I like it I'll order the Omega parts from the AD when I pick the watch up.

Think i'll get one of these too, to go with the Watchobsession deployant suggested in the other thread (for a standard Speedy).

I think the "traditional" choice would be black strap with ivory stitching, but I wonder if black-on-black would look better...

Omega will only let you order the snoopy strap if you own a snoopy. You can order the strap directly from the manufacturer without the omega logo and it's £145 rather than £220.

5 working days, ordered the deployant clasp as well which came with a few extra spring bars.

I think mine was even quicker than that but they come from Germany so will take a little longer than domestic post. They are pretty high quality, better than the £80 sailcloth strap fitted to the Longines Legend Diver for instance with a nice soft (nubuck or similar) lining.

Really? Can I ask where you heard this?

If they are starting to notify tomorrow that is earlier that I anticipated.

    Thanks in advance

    John

Ignore - found it, not really on social media or any other forums bar this and MWR.

    Thanks

That looks very long for the top half, or is it a bit of an optical illusion?

I wonder how many people will drop out once they eventually hit the shops.

    Indeed.

No-one will drop out. The question is how many will immediately flip to grey dealers for ££.

Since I'm on the waiting list for the crumbs, I hope some folks do drop out 👍

Your forgetting that £4k odd is a substantial amount of dough for most and people will drop out purely because they have no choice!

True. And people change their minds. I would guess about 20% will drop out for one reason or another. No reflection on the desirability of the watch, just human nature.

Optical illusion. I've got fairly small wrists (7") and it fits me fine

Strange. There's at least 3 people on Omega Forum who have ordered that strap. 2 from boutiques, one from AD

Of course it's the internet, so it's possible some are stretching the truth. Also possible some dealers don't ask for proof.
Who manufactures the strap for Omega?

I have read a few about a few people on the thread on omega forums too. Although one did at he could only buy it as he had a snoopy too. I tried to buy one from an AD and they called Omega to try and order it and where asked for the serial number from my snoopy which I don't have so couldn't purchase it.

So I spent a while on googling Snoopy Straps to find the cheapest one, about £210 on eBay. But came across several threads on the omega forum saying http://www.jean-rousseau.com made the straps for Omega and you can email them to make a custom strap which will be the same but not have the omega branding on the inside. So emailed their London shop and they said it's £145 machine stitched or £175 hand stitched. I have a friend who lives close to their main Paris location so he's going to pop in and see how much it is there.

I also bought the bobs watch one too which has arrived, seems ok but very stiff so have left it folded up in my watch box on my speedy to try and bend it into a more comfortable shape.

I think its more likely too many people were ordering them so Omega acted to protect their stocks. I can't believe they'd refuse the substantial profit otherwise. I've never heard of them refusing to sell a strap before.

I was told it's very common with the Limited Edition models. But I am happy going direct to the maker and getting it cheaper anyway !

Well, I'll see what the Bobs strap looks like first before I stump up cash for a nicer one.

Very nice, love the strap. If my watch funds weren't so far in the red I would be tempted.

They are not being released in number order, it's random from what I've read.

Number 1586 is not as bad as I thought then

When I spoke to my local OB they suggested that they were trying to deliver in order of when the reservations were made. Those that got in early reservations will get them first. The number you selected is apparently not relevant.

Would have been cool if we could have our names engraved, but perhaps not popular with flippers.
