Thread: Tudor UK discount Blackshield Black.

  1. #1

    Tudor UK discount Blackshield Black.

I fancy the new Tudor Blackshield (Black) and I have a good relationship with my local AD. I've been offered 15% on a new factory order, but does anyone know if 15% is good going or can it be beaten?

I could only get 7.5% off when I got my Black Bay, but that was 2 years ago.

    7.5% seems not overly generous.

Achieved 20% off a Pelagos from Ernest Jones a couple of years back which was unexpected. It was a couple of days before Christmas which might have helped...

Sorry trying to link the pic!, finally managed it.

Leonard Dews in Blackpool had one in the other day, with 25% off.

    Cheers

    Agreed.
I tried everything I could to squeeze an extra few quid off but no success.
Still, a bit cheaper than the current price, as it was 2 years ago.

I called them the other day after seeing the thread, but they don't have the version I'm after.

Well good luck with finding one. I know the watches they had weren't hanging around.

    Cheers

I've seen the ceramic blackshield pop up a few times in sales with a discount of around 30-50% - they're not popular watches.

I would wait for another of those to come around, or look for one secondhand - the prices drop considerably and you should be able to pick a mint one up for around GBP1500-1700.

In that case I will wait and see what happens.

How's your search going? Did you manage to get one?Interested to know your thoughts. Thinking about flipping my smp for a chrono, most likely get a speedy but may consider other options such as the Blackshield or a Bremont ALT-C

I'm still looking but I've not managed to find the right configuration of black dial and white markers, but either way I'm only likely to but one that's on sale.

I can see it buying a quick way to lose a lot, unless you get an amazing deal.
It's just a matter of time...

Black and white would be my choice but I'd need 30% off to buy, so used would be the only way, but hardly see any around.

I'm guessing a Tudor purchase doesn't hold their value as well as Rolex?

Not if you buy new at RRP, no!

    15% sounds good.
I was in my local Tudor AD a few weeks back, looking at a Black Bay. The best they could offer me was the "Manager's Special" of 5%

15% sounds decent enough to me.
