I enjoyed watching that - don't need to see the film now

(Is that a young Ed Balls in your avatar by the way?)

Sorry but the last decade I've spent nearly waiting for decent reboots/remakes only to be met with absolute pity . Total recall, mad max, robocop, predators, terminator salvation/genesis .
Alien covenant also. Star Wars with the exception of rogue one

This blade runner is as silly as if Clint Eastwood were to guest star in remake of a fistful of dollars and hand the mantle over to pee wee Herman

I'm liking it less as I see more trailers.

However it has a good director "Dennis Villeneuve" and a legendary DOP " Roger Deakins".

I'm hoping they don't go with some epic expansive world changing revellation though , the first one is really about a few powerless characters.

Just watched the latest trailer, looks like a sad derivative sci-fi sequel which will be forgotten about within 6 months. Which is a shame.

I say Neil blokkamp is the main man these days for coming up with half decent sci fi. Each director had there time period for the generations and leave them firmly where they belong . Fondly In the past in nostalgia land . Blade runner to real sci fi fans belongs where it finished with the directors cut .

Meh , he's made one good film "District 9" ( which is down to the lead actor more than the director).

    Elyssium was boring.

    Chappie was downright unwatchable.

But how can it now know what it is? :0)

I really liked Blade Runner, the visuals in particular are staggering bearing in mind the year it was made. I can't remember which version I have, but it's cohesive. I still choose it for testing new / changes to AV equipment.

Chappie had what I consider to be, one of the best theatrical trailers of all time.

The movie, was one of the worst of all time. Certainly in the bottom two or three I have ever seen.

The reviews are overwhelming excellent - I picked up the 4K remaster of the original - it's worth getting.

There are 3 Bladerunner shorts, filling in the years between 2019-2049
