I spoke to Eddie a few weeks back, inquiring about the 18A.. Unfortunately, he has no plans to produce anymore.
I'm not so sure on the 18Q though, as I didn't ask.

I'm lucky enough to of kept my 18Q. I would be delighted if the 17Q made a comeback to join it. I'm sure that it would sell in sufficient numbers to make it worthwhile looking at the uptake and sales of the PRS18Q and PRS82 which are also in the British Military Watch category and have sold out. They also command strong second hand prices on the open market such as e-bay.

Please, no. Not for me.
I'd second the absence of a date for two reasons. The whole point of this watch for me is that it's a quality, rugged pick up and go quartz which would be negated somewhat by the need to change the date. Plus it looks cleaner without, especially if there's going to be extra text.
I would prefer without a date. Maybe the movement is also for another watch.
The date would have to be changed 5 times per year. Can't remember if the crown is pulled out passed stop position to change the date. If so then the time keeping is broke up into 6 parts per year including DST change. So that's 2 months on average for the certification to show its worth.

As far as I know, it will be the only officially certified chronometer with a NATO Stock Number currently available. Even if it's not, it will certainly be the least expensive.

Nice. Awesome update on a classic.
Date version would be a winner in my view. Don't buy the argument it would be less pick up and go. Having to change the date potentially once every month or so is no hardship.

It isn't the pick up and go that makes me want a non date. I would just like a really symmetrical dial with equal lume at 3 and 9.

I had an auto prs18, but looking forward to the COSC quartz version, perfect weekend/holiday watch.
