    Smiths W10

A while ago I bought a PRS-29A on sales corner and it has quickly become my favourite watch.

Predictably this got me thinking about the original and after a short period pondering, I am now the proud owner of a 1968 W10

Somewhat frustratingly, the lug width is slightly smaller than the PRS-29A but that has given me a good excuse to buy a new nylon strap :) (the pic shows it on an 18mm nato, which almost fits).

Now the dilemma is do I just wear the W10 on special occasions or as it was intended.... Decisions decisions :)

That's a lovely looking W10. Unsurprisingly there are others here who have followed a similar route.

again, congrats on the piece. it's in awesome condition.

I'm thinking about adding a Smith W10 as well sometime soon.

look at the case back. it will indicate the issued year, along with serial, NSN, and branch of service it was issued to.

Your W10 is a peach - beautiful. Was it one of the batch sold on MWR?

I did get it from a seller on MWR and he did have a decent number for sale at the time, but not sure the batch I got mine from was ever listed.
