    Bezel insert ageing

Has anyone aged a bezel insert of there watch ? If so, how is it done.

    I have a Seiko 7s26-0040 and fancy changing it's appearance a little.

If you are after the faded look, bleach works
Pop the insert in to a cup of domestos for a few seconds, be careful because it works quickly and you can easily over do it.
Baking it in the oven also works apparently

Bleach works best, but I wouldn't recommend it on the black insert of the 7S26-0040 because it will turn out smudgy grey instead.
On a SKX007 or 009 insert the lines of the markers stay sharper. For some reason the coating is better lasting.

Cheers Marco. The bezel in question is a pepsi. How long would you recommend I leave it the bleach for ?

The SKX009 bezel appr. 8-10 minutes depending on how "faded" you like it.
The 0040 bezel I'd go for 6-8 minutes.
