Thread: The best Ti dive Watch ever?

The best Ti dive Watch ever?

    May be not. But,pretty close.
Many consider Shogun to be the best Ti diver. It has a ton of great attributes but I always thought itsss let down by the uninspiring dial and hand set and the crystal. A few months ago I saw a mod that I thought corrected this and elevated it
To a whole new level. The said mod has been doing the rounds on WUS SCand unfortunately I missed it twice. Luckily it came up for sale again and this time,I was able to snap it up.
    So,here is the Shogun-MM300!love child.
    A Shogun with
A domed AR coated Sapphire crystal
    MM 300 dial
    MM 300 handset
    And MM 309 ratcheting clasp
Wonky Photobucket would let me post only one pic

I love the mm300 but the weight meant I just couldn't get comfy with it. Problem solved! Very nice 😀

A mm300 type bezel would really finish it off? (If possible)

Thats a great look! The Ti looks almost 'dirty' but gives it a cool rough look.

Ha! Photoshopping is never kind to Ti. One of the best things about Shogun is the Diashield Ti- very hard to put a blemish on.

The Girard Perregaux Sea Hawk Pro 2 3000m pictured here with my DSSD Blue was probably the best Ti diver I have ever owned, sold it to a forum member last month........

I wanted a Chrono so replaced it with another Ti Diver, Omega Planet Ocean Liquid Metal 9300 Chrono which I'm delighted with.

I'm never sure why I wouId need a chrono complication on a diver ... and then I have my favourite IWC aquatimer 2000 which has a date?
OK .. so let's agree not all dive watches go diving all the time :-)

No one has mentioned Pelagos yet? I just love this watch.

My apologies for a misleading title. It was not about which is the best Ti diver ever.
Having said that, is still nice to see pics of these Ti divers.

Nothing bad. Just a bad case of unhealthy fixation on those.
My apologies to Shalako- stupid autocorrect changed his name!

I haven't seen in the flesh but really likes the look of this. And it's a lot of watch for the price.

    Not my Photo.

    Congrats!

Very nice - I've owned quite a few titanium dive watches over the years, my current favourite is my Tudor Pelagos Mk1, though the Omega Seamaster 2231.50 comes close. Best titanium dive watch I'd like to own is the Seiko Spring Drive Tuna SBDB009.

The best I'd class as the early IWC, before the "Rich" Swiss got hold of the company, then the Omega 2231, which is the most comfortable model of watch on a bracelet Ive ever owned.

I like the Pelagos, a lot, but the weight of it eventually put me off and goes against the use of Ti for me, as it's just too heavy for a Ti watch.

Agree. That and the Tuna. Unique, different designs.

    Love the Shogun though.
