Post photo of case back
Hi there, I'm quite regular on the main watch forum but completely new to The military side. I've had a successful bid for a CWC Quartz ref
stamped with British Broad arrow. Numbered W10/6645-99 5415317 26516 84.
Is the 84 referring to year of issue? Also might be a stupid question but did / do CWC stamp a broad arrow on the back whether it was issued or not?
The watch was bought at a price where I won't feel ripped if the provinence is not quite what it seems however I'd welcome some of your expert thoughts.
I should also say hello by the way and not make it my last military purchase!

As River Rat says, photos would be good.
Be optimistic, there have been CWC fakes but they are not that common.
Does it have a battery hatch that aligns with the position of the battery?
It's from 1984, is it too shiny or does it have a bit of wabi?

Hopefully this should be the back of the case. Thanks
That's all legit so don't worry on that score. One word of warning though - military watches are a slippery slope, you'll want another and another. ....
Cheers, feedback much appreciated I fear I might be a pest with more questions. However , I think the best thing I can do is read up. Can anyone recommend a good reference book on military watches?
Have you joined MWR (military watch forum)? Great resource for researching and plenty of good guys on there.
Yes Billy you're right it's a semi fatboy type thingy case.
As someone pointed out. Check it's got the original movement. If you open the battery hatch and you can see all the battery it's the right movement. If you can only see part then not good. That particular year was the only year that ' off centre battery' movement was used.
Konrad Knirim books are probably the best.

Ziggy Wesoloski's book is a lot cheaper and a good intro' for a beginner.
