My wife was the same! my watches normally leave her cold, but when she first saw the b-uhr, she said "new watch? oh! I like that"

    No.11 found a new home....

......today. Sorry for the bad picture - I only had my smartphone available.

Thanks Eddie.....original strap is too short (as always), but I found a leather NATO that fits well. Guess I need to look around for a more authentic strap in 24mm and long enough for my wrist

    Best regards

A nice mark up for a watch I think Eddie still has in stock for £700 cheaper... a reflection of how the cost will probably go mind when the limited edition has gone!

I note that this one is purported to be 49 of 50: "This is model 49/50".

Indeed - the vendor evidently assumes that this being no. 49/50 means there's only one left. Since I am buying no. 50/50 from SC, and Eddie still lists them as in stock, I rather think she is mistaken!

Number 50 was sold almost a year ago, in the first day or two after they went on sale. I seem to remember Eddie saying that there were only 4 still available quite some time ago

All seem to be sold now, I’m surprised it took so long.

I have one now it’s a pretty special watch.

It’s so easy to wind the big crown,no fiddly screw down crown and you can feel when it’s fully wound.
Every morning it’s my pleasure to pick it up and quickly re charge it,the stop at 12 seconds is a marvel.

It’s large, but It’s perfect when you realise where it’s design comes from.
it should look a little (just a little) awkward on the wrist how would a WW2 original look?.
compared to an original it’s dainty those in the know (us) will appreciate its looks, size and heritage.

Though it’s large it’s so well balanced it’s very comfortable and unlike my smaller watches never twists around my wrist.

I just darkened the rather excellent pigskin strap I was worried I would ruin it I think it looks good you may disagree.
I love the roller buckle and perfect strap size, nothings flapping it’s also soft yet firm.

The window back is nice, but I wanted to fit the metal case back.
I don’t have a tool large enough, that made me smile when I tried to remove it.

As there are only 50 in this world I get a slightly smug feeling wearing it.

Nice post. What did you use to darken the strap?

If it’s not a silly question how long should it run from fully wound?

I wound mine at the same time each day so at least 24 hours.

I put it on a different strap with the buckle from the original strap.
Anyone know where you can get these roller buckles from [i like them].

It stil amazes me how such a large watch can be so wearable/comfortable,chalk and cheese compared to a JSAR.

    There's currently one on eBay.
