Thread: The £10 Nato Strap Challenge

    The £10 Nato Strap Challenge

The NATO strap on my work watch smells like a buffaloes jock strap and is covered in paint, engine oil and other stuff that we won't go into. So I'm looking for a replacement. A tenner including postage is what I'm prepared to spend so let's have your suggestions please

Just buy a new jock strap and use that. Heaven forbid you get a proper bracelet or strap... Recites "must have NATO" mantra 10000 times a day...

Pretty sure some of the zuludiver ones can be picked up for a tenner, had no issues with mine (pretty sure they're the same as the monkeyswag ones)

WatchObsession is a possibility (no personal connection, but I've bought a few) : https://www.watchobsession.co.uk/col...o-watch-straps

How did your find them? I bought two recently and they are quite a bit stiffer than most of my others?

Cheapest suggestion: just put it in the washing machine with the next load?

I haven't tried one of Eddie's but as of date the zuludiver is the best quality nato I've had so a +1 from me :)

Another vote for Eddie's...I've got one of each of my Ti Citizens and they were incredibly comfortably...really like the Nato's bead blasting and good chunky buckle...top quality

I didn't think anyone bothered with trolling anymore. Anyway this is the only watch I own that has a NATO strap. It's a cheap watch so it's getting a cheap strap

Thanks to the rest of the posters. I'll have a look at your suggestions

I tried that. The stink came back too quickly. A new strap is the answer

I had a couple from WatchObsession and yes, the material seems to be a good 1.5x as thick as anything i've had from MonkeySwag be it a Phoenix, MKS or budget one. I don't mind it so much - I prefer the rigidity to a flimsy thin cheap thing.

After all the comments on this thread I just ordered 4 of the new RAF version NATO straps offered by Timefactors.
I just hope they are as good as people here make them out to be!

    You won't be disappointed.

If the OP is after an 18mm or 20mm NATO, try Eddie's newish braided NATO. Starts out stiff but should get softer with wear, and the perfect fit is achievable every time. :)

I have this saved in my eBay page. I haven't ordered any yet but for the price they are disposable.....
