    West Indian Watch Company

I have two watches that my father left to me, one is a Sowar the other is a Secundas.

He wore these watches before and throughout the second world war. So one or both would have been on his wrist at Dunkirk and in Burma.

They both still work, but the Sowa glass is yellow and the Secundas has a scratch on it. I have the original strap for the Sowar.

Anyone know of someone who could do a sympathetic refurb.

I guess that would be West End Watch Company? Very interesting Anglo-Indian history. Depending on the exact models they may be quite rare if not hugely valuable.

Brendan is brilliant of course but in case you need an alternative I will ask on an Indian watch forum I am a member of.

It's not so hard to post pictures. There are some threads that tell you how if you get stuck. You can use the forum search function.

    West Indian Watch Company

They look great, well worth getting serviced. The bracelets are special too.

    Thanks for posting the pictures.

One of guys on the Indian watch forum recommended Steve at Ryte Time in Leicester for working on West End watches. I've never used Ryte Time but plenty on TZ seem to have done and been very happy.

I have used Brendan, and like many here have been delighted.

No sweat, I expect quite a few of us have got a backlog of watches that need a service (or a bit more).
