(Q) Is there a low domed crystal that will fit a SARB033?

Hello forum,

I asked this question over in the SCWF a few weeks ago and got no response, so I thought I would give it a shot on here.

I would like to try and replicate the look of a SARB029, with that beautiful domed crystal, on my 033. Does anyone know what size the 033 crystal diameter is?

I don't have a vernier handy (only an old plastic ruler somewhere) and I really don't want to pull the watch apart until I have a new crystal to go in.

Any help gratefully received.

I have done plenty of googling but haven't found anything as yet.

thank you very much indeed. I didn't realize that case back numbers were also involved. Mine is 6R15-00C0, always a learning day!

31mm will be on order very soon. I hope I can get some photos up of the new crystal in place within the next couple of weeks.

Just a small update, I couldn't find a suitable shape crystal. It's a box shape and everything found so far is just a plain dome.

I have put this on hold for the time being. I have an Orient EL05002B on the way. I will see what this is like in person and decide on the next move.

Sorry nurpur, there are 31mm dome crystals, but none of them are the correct shape. I might put a normal domed one on there just to see if I like the effect.

If you happen to find anything will you update the thread for us?
