This evening I shall mostly be eating Tesco Jumbo Salt and Vinegar Peanuts. Much nicer than I had expected.
Tomorrow evening though I shall be treating myself to the gastronomic delights of Snyders of Hanover Honey Mustard & Onion Pretzel Pieces - quite the most delicious evening snack I have yet encountered on my quest for the ultimate in savoury satisfaction.

I had a little birthday tea the other day for my little lad. I bought a family sized bag of skips. Not had them in years.
I reckon I did at least half the bag to myself. Bloody lovely.

This. All day long. One of my favourite snacks with a pint of Oakham Ales' 'anything' at my local 'Palmerston Arms'. The honey & mustard ones are just that little bit too sweet and sickly.
They can be bettered though (both also offered at the above mentioned establishment):-
1. Grassmere Farms 'Grunta' - A Peperami done properly.
2. Black Country Snacks 'Ghost Chilli Pork Sratchings'. A... May... Zing...
Agree wholeheartedly with Salt & Vinegar peanuts though.. as a 'broad appeal' snack. Well... Salt & Vinegar anything really...

Someone had a packet of those in the office the other day.

There's no beauty. I'd agree there's a disgustingly fishy charm about them but I'm not sure the social pariah status that ensues is worth it.
I'd consider eating some if I had an NBC suit handy.

An industrial quantity of cashews, however they are never around long enough to go off !
I used to find between 35-70cl of Jack and the eating a portion of donor meat mixed with half ketchup and half chilli sauce to be just about the best savoury snack ever invented ;)

A favourite of mine used to be Nandos hot Peri Peri crisp, though too many could make your tongue bleed, (well it felt that way).
Now: - 1. Aldi Aberdeen Angus and Red wine crisp.
2. Aldi Hot Salsa doritos
3. Co op Sea salt and Chardonnay Vinegar Crisp.
The list is forever swelling as is my stomach.

Waitrose Pain Rustica piled high with Ardennes pâté, accompanied by a bowl of mixed olives and feta, liberally doused with Tabasco.

It's quite hard to beat the classic Smiths pub combo... Scampi Fries, Cheese Moments and Bacon Fries... throw in some Pork Scratchings and that's all you'll ever need!

Can't beat salted popcorn for an evening snack. I mean aside from the vigorous brushing you'll have to do before bed to get all of the bits of kernel out of your teeth.

Kabanos, not the stuff that comes in a vacuum sealed bag, but the ones that are left to air dry.
