They all wear pink don't they
My nephew (16) is joining the RAF as an engineer next month...
I brought him a nice Seiko diver from Kevkojak and I wanted to get him 20mm RAF NATO to go on it...
I assumed RAF would be the colour matching, but, I can't work out what it should be...?
Anybody help with what I should be getting him? Red, white and blue I would have assumed?

This one from Eddie, I would think -

I thought RAF Nato meant that the strap is a one piece as opposed to the usual 2 piece nato. (i.e., only 1 piece of strap is under the watch head and not 2)
The colours are upto you.
Get him a black one.

Maybe one (three) of these?

Congratulations to your nephew and good luck to him.
Sod it... I got him this one anyway as it looked great!!! Got it on the two peice...
If he gets beaten up, then so be it
Thr vintage ones were a great shout, but, he's not the most delicate of boys, so, not sure it it would've worked
Turned 16 in August and leaving home in October... Brave lad!
Nice one
Well I can't complain at you ignoring me. Despite my suggestion, I have one of Eddie's as well and it has worn extremely well. Hope he likes it.
Having served in the army for 22years I think you should get him a black one as well as the one you have already perchased,
During training he will get all sorts of shite thrown at him, so no need to add to it, I say this because in training he ain't (in some eyes) not in the RAF until he passes out, then he could change the strap, it's only a thought.
Congratulations - he's going to get beaten up :D
My son has also recently joined the RAF as a fairy (avionics). I told him he could choose one of my watches as a gift but he wanted a bloody Casio...
Yeah I think Alex's job is probably that of a fairy!!!
Not a bad little number really... The pay is pretty good and he gets amazing training...
He had to pass all sorts of tests and get good GCSE's to get in... He's a nice lad and I think joining the RAF could be the making of him
I'd go a step further and get him a $20 waterproof Casio for basic, they can get pretty grumpy about anyone standing out then he can wear his nice RAF coloured strap once he passes in. Good on him though and best of luck to him
I was a medic in the RAF for 12 years and would be more than happy for my son to join but I always say to anyone thinking of joining to join in a technical trade. Good training, better pay and a useful transferable qualification. The experience definitely helped me get where I am now but my qualifications were useless outside.
