FWIW - Just received the latest stock email from Watchfinder which lists a Deep Blue Deep Sea at £9,950 if its of interest.

I tried on a DSSD once, it was too big for me, but be aware it's damn heavy! I think it's something like 210g, which is nearly half a pound in old units. Even after just a few minutes on my puny wrist it started to ache.

    I have a BNIB GMT2c
    Never ever been worn
    All stickers etc

    It's a few years old
    Never been touched
Rainy day money in a way

Come over if you want to try it
I might even consider selling it

    Hi John,

    Thanks for that.

I love the look of the GMT II C, but it's never going to be big enough at 40mm....

Just out of interest, which do you have? Black, Batman, Pepsi, Coke (or other)?

Was ringing around in a search for the D-Blue earlier today - two separate AD's told me the chance of finding a new one anywhere near RRP are slim, as they tend to be purchased 'in-house' by AD's before they even get advertised to joe public - hence the huge mark-up and crazy value on pre-owned models.

I might have found a new one that's only reasonably overpriced, but early days...

I used to have a DSSD, great watch but quite thick, same as the Seawolf at 18mm I remember, but more top heavy as the bracelet tapers sharply. Also have a look at the Sky Dweller, obviously costs more as it is gold but it does have a lot of presence and some cool functions, esp the command bezel.

Quick update - now have lined up a new 116660 DSSD 'James Cameron' D-Blue, which I'm due to collect on Friday - and you guys are to be thanked for all the advice (or should that read 'you guys are all to blame'?).

I'll actually see it 'in the flesh' for the first time when collecting!

Special mention for EJL25, who posted the stunning picture below (duly stolen for future use..), which probably made my mind up - you can see why...

    Mike

I'll try and take a few snaps of mine when collected, but will struggle to match this:

Excellent choice, I love the DSSD Blue edition, ticks all the boxes for me and the dial is stunning, favourite watch in my collection.

I actually got it in a private deal, ultimately as a response to my TZ WTB thread...love (hate) this place!

First Rolex love was the dssd but the thing is well top heavy, I still have it and probably won't never sell it, think they should of made the lugs wider and the strap also, like breitling do, 22-20 would of been a lot better, any how! Your a breitling guy and a big chap so this will suit you fine! Wear it in good health goonermike

    Picked up on Friday!

Please forgive the very poor snaps - it's late, the light isn't great, and factory seals are still in place, so not exactly ideal - but you'll get the idea.

Took a little while, these are fairly thin on the ground (and this is new, unworn and stickered, so even rarer...) - actually was helped out by a TZ member who saw my WTB thread, and pointed me in the right direction. Don't know whether to thank him, or kill him....

Provided you've got big enough wrists they are excellent watches.........but way too big for the likes of me.

    Enjoy it Mike!
