Thanks for that, I shall watch it with interest tonight. Whilst I really did enjoy season 1 I have to own up to being left a little confused.

Not sure if this new series has been discussed anywhere, but it targets the same audience. I binge-watched the three episodes already aired, and it's a winner!

Watched the first episode after seeing this post. Excellent, thanks for posting.

Good first episode with a lot of questions to be answered. Looking forward to this season.

Some great alternatives for "catching up" on the Season One story line and where it left off:

Having just finished watched the first episode of season 2 I've been left contemplating:

    1. How good Thandie Newton looked in that little black dress;

    2. Perhaps this season we'll get to see Dolores in all her glory.

These burning questions are currently being repeated in my head in a cyclical fashion!

Sorry, did someone mention the storyline?

With my aging mind bordering on Alzheimer's, I often cheat by reading the analyses on Wikipedia...but then I need to re-read it before the next episode!

Does Hopkins *somehow* star in season 2?

Dolores looks a bit diff in this season. The actress had face work maybe or lost weight?

Something about her looks diff. The mrs agreed also so maybe not just me!

Did everyone notice Bernards Omega 2500 Omega PO? Looked like the one Bond wears in Quantum of Solace which of course has JW star and play Felix Leiter.

Season 1 looks like he wears a Bond Seamaster 300 but maybe chrono version.

Hope he comes back in Bond 25 for Daniel Craigs swansong

Yes I thought her face looked very different but couldn’t put my finger on why.

The watch is a glaring continuity error. Throughout season 1 right up until the final party/shootout he wore a blue Bond SMP (the one with swirls on the dial, which may well have been the actor’s personal watch from his time as Felix Leiter). At the start of season 2 which was set almost immediately after the events at the end of season 1 he was suddenly wearing a PO.

Just watched it, absolutely no idea what I watched though and started to lose interest but will stick with it purely for Thandie Newton - magnificent
Wasn't that security guard killed in the first series?

Yes, but he's a 'host' who can be reincarnated many times. Hmm, wonder if that's true of us, too.

Is he a host? We don’t actually see him get killed in series 1, just attacked, although the fact he is now back suggests he may well be.

I enjoyed Season 2 Episode 2 - interesting backstory and touches of Blade Runner.

  26. #426
Lots of subtle sub-plots and commentaries on current affairs going on. Still bafled by when some of this is taking place but sure that will reveal itself over the series.

Visually, I still think it's the best thing on TV by a long way - the attention to detail in the OS for example, as well as the interface they use.

Am I right in thinking that you need Sky Atlantic to watch this?

I have a Virgin bundle (that includes Netflix) and cant see it anywhere.

I think that I watched the first series on Netflix.

^ Same here, though I was very tired and in the middle of a Deep State, Westworld, Homeland marathon. Still got the end of Westworld and Homeland to watch tonight.

You can watch on nowtv. Pay per month (no contract). I only use it for Westworkd, Walking Dead, and GoT. Usually one of those is on so it keeps me coming back.

Only just watched that episode and was just going to post about that.

Going to have to watch the original again.

Funnily enough, I just watched the original film a few weeks ago (it was on one of the satellite channels).

It hasn’t aged particularly well! The idea is quite good though, which is obviously why it inspired the series, particularly when you add in a bit of Blade Runner/Philip K Dick “what is real, anyway”.

  38. #438
That and the ethics around AI.

The Dolores - Maeve meeting was great with all the subtext. Beginning to think one or both is following Ford's new narrative anyway they only have an illusion of freedom.

As to the 'weapon'...is it the failsafe that would allow them all out? Slow episode for sure but it's all building towards something, plus the tone was always likely to be different now we're not in the standard park.

I loved Season One, haven't yet watched any of Season Two - saving that for a binge watch, and Evan-Rachel Wood is absolutely gorgeous in every way.

    Just had to say that.
So clever my foot fell off.

Just finished Season 1 and very much enjoyed it.

I feel they should of cast a stronger actress to play Charlotte.

My daughter is driving over tomorrow to do something that involves plugging something into my television that will pick up waves from my laptop that will allow me to access series 2.

    Looking forward to seeing it.

I did read some reviews about a disappointing start of the new season.
Last night I have seen the first 3 episodes of season 2; different than expected, but still a big thumb up for me!

Loved the Seven Nation Army intro to Rajworld and then the Shogunworld crossover ending to episode 3, it's starting to get good!

  44. #444
As soon as I saw the slow snowfall I was expecting the samurai. Loved that nod to the classics.

Also some superb acting by Louis Herthum as the glitched Peter Abernathy. We need more of him.

Just got access to series two yesterday as I am a tight wad. Watched all three of the new series last night. Cool start but warming up. Staying with it for the violent delights and the ridiculously good looking crumpet..................................

If its of any use to anyone there is a guy on Amazon doing 2 months Now TV entertainment for £4.94.

Been watching this from the start, what a great programme. Some thing you have think about especially with the AI warnings, even Stephen Harking was scared of it!

    Red face

Just watched Episode 5 of the new Season. Anyone else think that the plot is getting a bit messy and poorly written?

The 'Dolores' segments are slightly boring too. Bit of a disappointment so far, apart from the odd great scenes.

Hope it improves back to where it was, episode 5 for me was really poor.
    Shame.

  50. #450
I have loved every episode of seasons 1 and 2 so far, but episode 5 was a disappointment - slow and meandering, unless we are heading for a Delores vs Maeve showdown?
