    Gene Wilder RIP

I've just read about the passing of "Willy Wonka" amongst other characters he'd played.
Make em laugh upstairs now Gene.

He finally got his blue blanket.

His role as Leo Bloom in The Producers changed my world when I was a kid! R.I.P Gene.

A killer scene for me was the blind guy with walking stick in the bar in See no evil, Hear no evil

Oh dear, that is sad. Wonderful in so many films - Stir Crazy, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, etc.

RIP Sir. Start the Revolution Without Me remains one of the funniest films I've seen.
Thanks for making sure that I never forgot the year the French Revolution started (came in handy once on quiz night).

I owe Gene Wilder a lot of lol moments and quite a few more delicate emotions. 2016 sucks. May he RIP.

I don't usually respond to these, cos well i'm a cold hearted bugger that doesn't usually give a toss, but this is sad, so many genius movies, that were only genius because he was in them. Bye bye Willy, i'm off to lick my wallpaper.

RIP Gene. Hopefully one of the channels will put on a GW night, Blazin Saddles followed by Young Frankenstein would be an epic double bill. With films like these you'll not be forgotten Sir.

I was sad to hear news of his death on the radio this morning. One of my first thoughts was that I must make some time to watch a few of his films in the coming days........

He has left behind some classic films as his memorial, very varied but all successful because of his enormous ability. I've enjoyed every film I've seen him in and some I've watched many times. One of the greats of the business, thank goodness his films live on...

Great man. I heard today that he'd known he was seriously sick for a while but didn't want to publicise it as he "didn't want to take any smiles from the world" RIP.

Sad times, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory is one of my all time favourites, for no other reason than the fun and nonsence of it. Iv had the jingle part of the Imagination song in my head all day...

When he's creasing up about nart feldman's antics on the "you take the blonde one , I'll take the one with the toibun" ....funniest thing I've seen.
Madeline Khan and Terri Gar having to control themselves is brilliant too.
