    New arrival (GS content)

I've had my eye on one of these for a few months but they don't come up terribly often on the pre-owned circuit so I bit the bullet and bought new.
I know Grand Seiko and particularly Spring Drive can stir some hornets on occasion round here but that's always gonna be isn't it ?
What matters is that I'm happy so that's the important bit.

    The Grand Seiko SBGA011 "Snowflake"

It's missing an hour hand. You must have noticed?

Just kidding. That's a stunner. Bet you can't take your eyes off it...

Great watch but what's with the standard picture? I mean it's ok for a phone pic but surely the snowflake deserves better. Pull your socks up or your stellar pic rep is in danger.

    Have I said it's a cracker? Congrats.

Great watch, I have the 'Tapesty dial' .....109.....which is a very similar watch. GS has slowly become my favourite brand, which I never expected when I first bought one. It's perhaps a type of watch that you only 'get' if you can borrow or buy one.
Indeed, I seem to wear my Rolex Sea Dweller less and less. Not that I would ever sell it. The thing is, lots of people are able to try a Rolex....they are everywhere....but very few get a chance with a Grand Seiko.,pity, but I don't get the feeling that GS care very much. Too small a market for them. So the position may not change in a hurry.

More pictures required. Much more pictures. That dial really is a work of art. Congrats on your purchase!

Yep - I would wear that!

I bet your picture doesn't do the dial justice. Saying that it looks fantastic.

Lovely, and so is the SBGA125 that's mentioned further down the thread.
I've it's steel cased SBGA003 cousin, mighty fine watch though if you ever fancy a swap...
