It might be worth reading some of the stickies in order to familiarise yourself with the few rules we have in here.
This forum loves a soap opera.
If you are shooting for 18 pages, your choices are:
A. A thread about Seiko vs Rolex
B. A thread about poor Richemont service
C. A thread about how Swiss watchmakers are gouging unsuspecting customers and ripping them off
D. Poor fortunes and impending demise of Swiss watch industry
C. This is a sure fire winner- some thread about pseudo sentimental BS related to watch which makes members go- oh! Such a heart warming story and make them feel good about themselves.
It is all tongue in cheek lest some sensitive souls take offence.
Spikey forum to get into this one. If I was a cry baby I'd have left a long time ago...
Yes please. PM sent
Better self-policing than mods. No contest.
Definitely!
Go for quality not quantity if you are looking for responses and you are new like me. I've started a few threads purely on watches (and a clock) that interested me and got a handful of replies but very informative and much appreciated (including about a Quartz Sekonda so don't worry about your Accurist!). There are some amazing and resourceful people on this forum.
OP - have you thought about contacting Watchfinder to sell it.
It is a lovely watch.

[QUOTE=Wallasey Runner;4040616]but as a dealer and paying the 10% that would probably be okay.
I heard most dealers do not put 10% in the fundraiser more like £50 a watch
I think you meant E rather than a second C and I believe it was this point which tripped you up recently was it not? Taking the mick out of the sentimental doesn't exactly fit with the contrition you showed after the recent incident when people suggested that you had soiled your draws, metaphorically speaking of course.

To add my tuppence. When I first joined the site no newbie had done a hello post . So not realising I started my first post with a question regarding de-gunking a Seamaster. Things kicked off merrily.
It's actually not easy getting a feel for the site and I know one individual who is too terrified to ask a question ( he's no wall flower either) it Probably help to have a newbie thread running.
Just to let anyone interested know - the buyer has pulled out and the watch is now relisted in Sales Corner if anyone is interested.
Hardly surprising really...
Yeh I seen that, google Jonathan Brett watches and watch finder comes up in several links..
Work for watchfinder - Become chief buyer - gain load of horology knowledge - question, why do I work for these people? - set up rival company - sell watches to old employer; erm NO..
Plot thickening....

It depends if you read post #1 before it was hastily edited so as not to fall foul of the 'is this a disguised sales post' rule?

Thanet Technical College ?
When I was at school in the 70s the Technical College by us was were people went to do woodwork.
Thanet always reminds me of Billericay Dickie by the immortal Ian Dury..
I'd rendezvous with Janet
Quite near the Isle of Thanet
She looked more like a gannet
She wasn't half a prannet
Her mother tried to ban it
Her father helped me plan it
And when I captured Janet
She bruised her pomegranate
Cheers,
Neil.
