Thread: Leather match for Crockett & Jones?

Leather match for Crockett & Jones?

So, any recommendations for a good strap to match a pair of C&J scotchgrain tan Conistons?

Ideally matched for texture as well as colour; surely someone out there is as OCD as me and has hit on a winner?

    Many thanks :)

If you really want the ideal strap/shoe match why not speak to C&J and explain that you want a strap to match your shoes and would be surprised if they did let you have enough to produc a strap.

Then just provide the hide to a reputable strap maker and voi la.

^^ You know what, that's a rather good idea, and one that hadn't for a moment occurred to me. I'll give it a go and update how I get on...

(Meantime, if anyone has an off-the-peg suggestion, do please post)

    Thanks.

ABP will custom make a strap in the hide and colour you want - but I guess you'd have to go in the Paris shop wearing your shoes to get a good match.

You get what you pay for in life; in you don't understand that sentiment, or disagree that it applies to shoes, then your interest in timepieces must be somewhat myopic, but each to their own.
