New Arrival and a little unboxing - Seiko PADI

Well, I had a WTB answered for a PRS68 which I was after so buying this was a pure impulse.

Ive been looking at them from a distance as they were available on pre-order, and im pretty sure its not meant to be released just yet, but im happy I nabbed it.

I saw it on eBay and I assumed it was a "pre order" as most are on there, but noticed it was from a UK jeweller, so I looked for their site and found them listed there.
I rung to check stock and yes, they were in stock, just listed that day.

Order placed Wed and here today

    Big ish box

    Its a Seiko

    Big box for a Seiko

Are these even released yet? Havent seen another on any fora as yet

Had a WTB answered for a rubber too - ill size the bracelet later

    Liking it very much.

Oh, and if you want to know, there were only 2 in stock and both sold, now they are taking pre orders for Sept

    Bracelet sized

    Very nicely finished

and I dont know if these are limited numbers or a short run but the back shows its a special edition

Looking good and the dial really stands out too.

Well done and wear in good health.

I like that, the blue of the dial really shines in the sun. I normally prefer watches to be on bracelets, but this works really well on the rubber.

Congrats, I didn't think these were available yet. I placed my pre-order with Jura Watches just over a week ago.

Black dial too. Think this is perhaps just a listing error with Amazon as everything else in the spec and pics look correct. Price not so.

When i posted the Amazon link it was sold by Michaels (UK AD) £350, not the hooky looking listing that's left there now as someone bought the Michaels one.

Likewise, when I linked the Michaels site it was in stock. Perhaps it was a member here who had it.

Creative Watch in Brum had one a couple of days ago too.

just a quick question to the OP, in QP magazine the photo of the Padi looks like the lume has a blueish tinge, is it standard green lume?

If you like a rubber but just not that one, get a DAL1BP from Seiya as it's the current version of the strap that would have been on the original 6309-7040s. Like this:
