Thread: A quick introduction

    A quick introduction

Having spent some time lurking in the background reading various threads on watches I covet I have finally taken the plunge and registered.

I am very much a fledgling watch collector, having slowly built up a collection of watches I've taken a fancy to over the last 25 years or so.

Watches have gradually become a more compelling interest, along with photography, so at some point I'll combine the two and post some (hopefully) decent photos, but to start with here's a selection of what I have in various drawers and boxes.

A 1960's Breitling Top Time, bought about 25 years ago

A 1970's Omega Seamaster Chronometer (168.022, with the 564 movement) - my regular day-to-day watch

A 1974 Bulova Accuquartz - a recent acquisition and my first hummer

A 1970's Rolex Submariner (5513), bought about 20 years ago but still going strong

A 2007 Omega Seamaster Co-Axial GMT, recently returned from some remedial work in Southampton

There are numerous other watches - automatics, manuals and quartz, lurking around as well.

Hello. Sounds like a nice bundle of watches. Any pictures of the 5513?

I will make that a project for later this week when I can get out with the camera.

Welcome from me as well. I think you have a very nice and versatile collection of watches. Please let's see some more photos and in particular I would like to see the breitling top time... 👍

Apologies for the delay in updating the thread.

I haven't had much time to get some decent photos taken, but here's a shot of the 5513 grabbed yesterday:

I'll try to get some without the annoying reflections when I have a little more time.

    And that Seamaster again.....

I'll try to grab a photo of it's modern counterpart next weekend.
