    Brushing a clasp

Any one got any tips on getting a nice even straight finish when refinishing a clasp?

I have various foam backed grades of brushing pads so should have the materials

    Hi,

Brush wheels achieve a far more consistent finish. :)

What about constructing a small 3 sided mdf box to hold the clasp

I've had success using a finishing pad to get the deeper scratches out, then finished off with a fibreglass scratch pen on my 20yr old Submariner-Date. Both I got from WatchObsession.
Used their Ti finishing pad, brought up my POTi clasp a treat, like new, almost

The usual thing is to hold the edge of the clasp tight onto the face of a flat surface, and move the abrasive up and down that surface, to keep the movement in parallel lines. If you can gently clamp it, all the better, provided you are clamping with soft jaws (or taped over jaws) so that the clamp doesn't leave any grip marks.

    Hi,
Lay a piece of scotchbrite on a flat surface, then rub the clasp in a forwards/backwards motion over the scotchbrite. Always produces great results for me on SS or titanium.

pin down the abrasive on a flat surface with a piece of wood and then slide the clasp back and fore a few times pressing against the wood as a guide
