Glad you're pleased with it. It looks stunning. Did you get the strap as well?

Very excited to have had this package arrive yesterday!
But what was in it? Could it be those special mousetrap that are finally going to protect my muesli?
So, once the rest of house had gone to bed, I had a peek inside... (Apologies for the quality of the photos.)
Hmm, doesn't look like mousetraps:
Hooray!
If I'm right then it's a...
Yes! Woohoo!
Many thanks to Patnmand for the pointer that allowed me to take on his cancelled order from P&C.
More thoughts later...

Just the bracelet for the moment. Thought I'd see how I get on with it before going to the extra expense.
Still thinking how to explain to my wife that her new kitchen's just a bit further away than we thought...
Fair enough. I originally ordered it with both as I wasn't sure how I'd get on with it. I prefer straps but thought having the bracelet would make it easier to sell if I decided to flip it. It does look good on the bracelet though

That's rather nice! There's something seriously cool about it being oil filled :)
I'd like to give one a try at some point, do you ever see them second hand?
I've checked eBay and watchfinder. But no joy...
Maybe I'll have to bite the bullet and pick one up new, presumably if they're hard to pick up they retain their value too?!

Couple of 'money shots' of the oil effect:
Pretty cool, and looking forward to catching it out of the corner of the eye as it's on the wrist. For anyone who doesn't know, it'll be one of those things where the brain knows the image isn't quite normal but can't figure out what's different for a bit.
If you're around in central London at all during the week then I'd be happy to show it off.
I love Sinn watches and this is one of their very best - someday I may own one I hope. Well may you wear, it defines a tool watch really.
Nice! I love the occasional float back of the seconds hand in the oil with the ux. Oddly hypnotic.
From memory, it is quite a large watch. Is it comfy?
Also, while P&C's service is excellent, how long did Sinn take to get it there?
Yes, indeed it is. That is one of my main concerns, if I'm honest, as I have girly 7" wrists and this is easily the biggest watch I've had. And it's not just the comfort; it's also what an overly large watch says about the wearer.
In the end I decided I don't care about the latter and there was only one way to find out about the former. A brief wear last night has told me nothing, however, other than that I may need to get some sort of equal weight to hang off the righthand wrist to prevent veering off to the left when walking...
As for Sinn, think it was about 11 weeks in the end. I took on another TZer's order as it was taking too long for them, then it was another 3 weeks' wait for me. Boring to wait.
That's a cracker - always liked these along with the rest of Sinn's diver range.
Lovely.
Now get an SDR bezel and you are set👍
Congratulations on an absolutely fabulous watch! That is special.

Yes, when I originally ordered it Sinn told P&C it would be 2 weeks. I gave up at 8. Odd that you had to wait a further three as literally days after I cancelled P&C said Sinn had contacted them and it was ready. P&C are great people to deal with and I hope to become a proper customer of theirs one day.

That's a great looking watch, especially the "money shots"
I've had two of these - the standard silver bezel and the SDR black bezel. Cracking watches. I will probably buy another when I have the funds.
Having recently ordered a U1 I'm hoping 11 week wait is not the norm.....
The U1 has been my daily wearer for about 2 years now. I have the fully tegimented version with the teg bracelet too - also bought from P&C which took about a week from order to arrival (!). I think the bracelet is great, but it is very heavy and as it doesn't taper toward the clasp it adds too much heft imho. Try it on a NATO or leather strap and you'll realise it isn't a huge watch. Di modell chronissimo is a great option imho. You're right, it is more like a 'tool' than jewellery - the finish, design and dial give a very clinical and precision made feel. In spite of that I find it works fine in any situation, and a change of strap can make it look very different.
Lovely watches, all of them!! I have a great admiration of all things Sinn.
Has anybody ever thought of emulating this DIY oil filled watch?

Tried it on a NATO this morning.
Looks good but the webbing under the watch does make it taller (no surprise).
To be honest, I'm still enjoying the novelty of the bracelet, so will play around again once that wears off. Might look into a canvas strap like the ones that have been appearing on the Friday thread. Think it looks rather smart with the blue.
Getting quite fond of the steel though...
I have replicated this in a seiko quartz guinea pig. The key is to use very thin/low viscosity silicon oil , the thinnest you can find.
My only issue was the lume on the dial flaked off 1 month later

i was not sure , thats all
A couple on here: Liquid filled...
Congrats! It is stunning, enjoy.
Something your pictures show is how well the bracelet end links fit the case. Another thing that adds to the precision engineered feel. Mine have literally no wiggle or play at all, something I've never found on another watch at anywhere near this price range. I've also tried a NATO on my U1 and even when worn 'RAF' style it lifts the watch head way too high imho. I'm waiting for Eddie to produce a 2 piece NATO in 22mm them might give it a go. Works well on isofrane too
