    None automatic diver recommendations?

I recently bought a Seiko 7002, and whilst I really like the looks, I'd like something to complement it that I don't have to reset the time on every time I want to wear it.

I'd be happy with quartz, eco drive, solar, or something similar, and have found a couple of watches that I quite like so far but I'm open to other options too:-

    Citizen BN0150 - http://www.dutyfreeislandshop.com/ci...t-divers-watch

    Seiko SKA371 - http://www.creationwatches.com/produ...atch-1235.html

Something from Traser might appeal, although their prices have gone up in recent years.

I think the two you have chosen are pretty good shouts.

Regards dutyfreeislandshop have people here used them? Are they as good as creation?

The Citizen is a good choice. I would avoid kinetic.

A Google search may help with the latter, ie http://bfy.tw/5q4K. Please forgive me for using LMGTFY...it just seemed like an easy tool to use.

I've got one of these for actually diving, but it's a great watch generally (if you can cope with the size).

I think it's out of production now, but this looks pretty similarly specced.

Another vote for the Citizen Excaliber, have one myself, great lume and bracelet, don't think you'll find better for the money.

I like Citizens, and the BN0000-04H is the cheapest 300m diver you can buy (that I'm aware of). However, I'm bound to say that the PRS-18Q is better looking, more interesting, less common, and has superb lume—and it's very much in the same no-nonsense military style as the 7002.

Can I ask why avoid Kinetic? I've got a 15yr old titanium Kinetic sat in a drawer and it still runs perfectly when I give it a shake.

I like the blue too, tempted just so it's different to the black 7002. The Excalibur looks good too, but I think I prefer the crown at 4 o'clock.

The Divex 200m looks smart too, strange that there are no prices though...

I would recommend any one of the Scurfa watches. I have a Diver One Silicon, excellent build quality and timekeeping for a very good price.

That's a lovely looking watch, do you happen to know if you can get a bracelet to fit as I don't get on with silicon straps on heavier watches?

I bought mine on SC last August http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.ph...ighlight=Divex

Not sure what the new price is but I'm certainly happy with it for the price I paid.

Hi the Scurfa One Stainless Steel would fit the bill, but I have just seen they are currently sold out (Doh)

    http://scurfawatches.com/diver-one-stainless-steel

If you contact Scurfa they should be able to advise on when they will be re-stocked (I have always found their service excellent). Alternatively they could advise on a suitable bracelet for the Diver One Silicon that is in stock.

    Kind regards

I prefer the red accents on the Silicon over the yellow on the Steel, and it's also 42mm versus 40mm which I'd prefer. Will drop them an email.

    No, I wouldn't.
I have a PRS 18Q and I would point out two problems with using one as a diver. Firstly, the bead-blasted finish is very prone to marking and then almost impossible to restore. Secondly, as the bezel gets used, it loosens and now turns in either direction - not desirable if you are relying on it to time your ascent!

It probably is a bit Marmite with the yellow hands but if the Silicon is anything like the Diver One Stainless Steel you won't be disappointed.

I've had the Diver One for a couple of weeks and have been very impressed. Domed Sapphire, ceramic bezel insert, accurate movement that hits the markers and 300m depth protection, all makes for a great value package.

J Springs do some good divers with Seiko Quartz internals.
Deep Blue also do a quartz diver that's well priced.
If it were me, I'd hunt down one of those perpetual calendar Seikos that use the SKX007 case.

Still prefer the red after seeing your pic, although it does look better there.

I wouldn't be using the diver as a diver, just as a daily wearer, but that's good to know.

Do you mean something like this on the Seiko front -http://www.creationwatches.com/products/seiko-japan-82/seiko-perpetual-calendar-sbcm023-prospex-scuba-diver-watch-2007.html

I'll look up J Springs and Deep Blue too.
