Thread: Seiko dial off centre.

    Seiko dial off centre.

    Evening All,

I have just purchased a modded SKX from the US. It basically a 007 but in black cerakote finish.

I have two issues with it though. One is that the dial is not straight and two the quality of the dial (looks like a very cheap after market version)

Any recommendations for someone to send it to please?

Or shall I just buy a case back tool and rectify it myself?

I thought while it is apart I may as well have a genuine dial fitted too.

    Thanks in advance,

    Ben

Is it a 007 movement? The issue would be if you bought a caseback tool that the dial (if dotsnot straight) is obviously not attached to the movement (by dial feet) - so I'd bet it's attached (or not ) by dial
That said- if your confident there are lots of new 007 dials on eBay (sold by modders) for around £10.
If you want to practice I have a used 007 dial in my parts box

It is the 7S26 movement or that is what it was advertised with anyway.

Only thing is, will it be water tight if I took it apart?

The dial is probably held on with tiny sticky pads or dots, easy fix if you are comfortable taking the movement out.

    Cmon- let's see a pic
You could possibly just drop the mp event out and ease it back into position
