    Yeah! My thoughts exactly! I think he should leave it as it is (OK clean some muck off) - people say they like (genuine) patina!

    Having said all that, a new xtal and a good clean will have it looking ticketty boo. I bed the dial is near perfect under all that crap. Jocke is a pragmatist, he wouldn't let a watch lose too much value!

    Once you clean it, preserve the muck. And put it on SC.
    Tactical muck is fetching great prices these days on SC.

    Ah, but won't it lose its value if it hasn't got its context??? And what about the increasing supplies of fake muck that I keep hearing? How can you tell proper muck from fake stuff???
