Paul Smith watches - some really nice designs!

Saw some Paul Smith watches in Beaverbrooks window today and was really impressed by the designs. I never normally look at fashion watches like this or Armani etc but was struck by how nice the designs are.

Thought I'd flag them here in case anyone's looking for something like them:

They are quite nice, aren't they? What sort of price range were they?

They are rather appealing, externally at least.

My cognitive dissonance is kicking in...

Tell me about it, mine was screaming while I was at the window! But that's the really interesting thing with something like this, we know what else we could buy for the money (they were around the £199 - £219 mark) and we know the quality difference is huge yet they're still appealing and grappling with our beliefs.

Would I buy these over the PRS-18 I have incoming this week? No of course I wouldn't. But I do think they're nice enough for that kind of money, especially to those not afflicted with our disease.

Another fashion house into the homage game

Panerai for Ferrari Chrono (except the PS is a DD / 24hr model)
    Tag Heuer Carrera
    Breitling Top Time

Probably one of the reasons they look appealing

Which makes great designs affordable for Joe Public.

Indeed, but at least someone had the taste to pick some stylish watches to 'homage'...

Good point, more interesting than producing yet another Sub, or base PAM

Good vfm at that price compared to the cost of one of his T-Shirts...

Seriously though, there are some nice fashion watch designs at much lower price points if you don't mind the quality issues. At higher price points you will at least get 'SWISS' on the dial.

Just googled one of the movements and turns out to be Citizen (Miyota Movement: 6P79)
