Thread: So,I pulled the trigger on new shoes for this bad boy😜

So,I pulled the trigger on new shoes for this bad boy😜

Baseball season is here again ( Atleast in the civilized world) and what better way to mark it then putting a watch on a new baseball strap.
Probably marmite given the color but is exquisitely made.

Is the strap made from a rounders ball?

Well in all fairness, if there's ever a watch brand that should be seen in conjunction with crazy straps and bright coloured clothes, it's Panerai. Had a few and loved every one of them.

Ha! I am not disliking it.. Looks like something you usually see on the marble table with drainage hole ;)

Not seen anything like that before, I would definitely remember if I had. It certainly appears to be nicely made and I trust that you will enjoy wearing it.

As a fan of unique and interesting straps, I have to say that looks spot on with your Panerai. Good choice!

Assuming it is a serious question and you are not taking piss- no,it is not.
There is considerable similarity between rounders and baseball/softball.

Yes, baseball players wear tights whereas Rounders players opt for skirts.

Looks like sh*t. But you already knew that.

When I say sh*t I actually mean the hernia scar of an albino bull after an unfortunate encounter with a blind vet.

I prefer the baseball straps that are made from old baseball mitts. However your one does have more pizzazz!

To be honest, I'm amazed you're able to cut a strap along the lines of a baseball seam. It would appear impossible (but my non-Euclidean maths is poor these days).

This is what happens when you pull the trigger on minty new shoes.

Never seen anything like it! I guess it works if you're an avid baseball fan.

    Thanks.
I appreciate all the feedback, positive and negative ( except for one comment ).
It certainly is different and not for everyone and all occasions.

Definitely has something of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre about it.

I only clicked on this thread because I assumed the title was a joke. I'm still not certain.

    Quite "special".

Actually, IRL this has been an astounding success.
As the strap choice illustrates, I wear what I wear for myself and not what someone thinks.
But, have been pleasantly surprised by the number of compliments I received in one day of wear.
Now,I can't discount the possibility that they were just being nice:-).

Honestly, though it wears very well and is fun to wear.
Thinking of getting another one from the same maker. More traditional.

Man, that's hideous and no way to treat a Panerai. I think you need a Jacob & Co or LV watch. ;)
