Looks amazing, apart from a few marks/polishing on the bezel, which are probably hard to avoid anyway. On the whole it looks very sharp.

I'd say that looks quite crisp, obviously price dependent but I'd buy it. Have you seen it in person yet?
If you don't, I think I might like to. If the price is right I think you should go for it.
Bevelling on the case is intact and lines are fairly sharp. This is good for OQ's as they usually get the bevels gnawed off with over zealous polishing. Some band stretch but not bad at all.
Looks good to me.
Not an expert but I owned that model, sporting it here doing the gardening:
My advice would be to confirm that all the bracelet links are present (they are expensive) if possible, or at least as many as you need if not. Also, although less likely than on the Day-Dates, confirm the bracelet is not an aftermarket swap.
Rolex will still service these. Ideally it would have had one in the last 10 years or so, otherwise it may need it soon - rather more mechanical parts in these than other quartz movements. Mine cost about $1000 for a full service, but it depends what parts it needs, if any. Finally, consider very carefully the dial colour and markers you prefer and if you really want yellow rather than white gold.
These are nice watches with real engineering and design history and often fairly priced. If you like the style, I think they can make a more interesting and original way to spend money on a Rolex than the usual suspects.

Any actual pictures of the movement? That'd be interesting to see.
could be a good choice :)
I know where there is a mint full set one of these but they want £10k :(
Many thanks for all the advice
Have been following prices over the last few months and 10K definitely on the high side and outside my price range
Saying that even poor over polished examples are being advertised at £6k and upwards
Just negotiating on price so will see
