Stallone can act when he wants to, he tends to play less articulate and outwardly emotional characters, though.
Arnie is a rubbish actor. Great screen presence, though.
Can't believe nobody has beaten me to nominate Sylvester Stallone or Jean-Claude Van Damme!!!

Stallone has been nominated for three oscars including best actor and best supporting actor. Just saying :)
Ah the Oscars - that paragon of credibility.

I still don't understand how she won an Oscar for Shakespeare in Love.
The casting couch may count a lot towards how good they may become.....
Anyone daring to say Nic Cage needs to watch this masterclass! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOCF0BLf-BM
Agree James Nesbitt and raise you Neil Morrisey.
Would have agreed Stephen Tomkinson 100% until he played a Nottingham truck driver in a comedy-ish series two years ago and was excellent.
And would have added Christopher Ecclestone except that he is doing a good job in 'The A Word' (and no toupee either).
Which leads me to Daniel Craig and his Norman Wisdom suits; luckiest man since Ringo.

Christopher Ecclestone was superb in The Leftovers
It would have to be Sylvester Stallone , i can't understand anything he says , and he can't act .
The majority of Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea - in fact all professional footballers.
Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.
Friedrich Nietzsche
Some may remember 'Our Friends From The North' where Christopher Ecclestone (pretty good) starred with Gina McKee (very good) and Daniel Craig who's Geordie accent was about as convincing as Mark Strong (very Good)'s hair piece! A supporting cast of actors who, whilst good, all seemed to be typecast to varying degrees (Peter Vaughan, David Bradley, Alun Armstrong, Malcom McDowell, Danny Webb, Donald Sumpter). I think it was just after Christopher Ecclestones turn in 'Cracker' where he was shown up by Robert Carlyle who played an unstable Scouser as opposed to an unstable scouser (51st State) unstable Jock (Trainspotting), unstable scientist (Stargate Universe) unstable spy (The World Is Not Enough) unstable small time crook (Once Upon A Time In The Midlands) unstable cannibal (Ravenous) etc, etc, etc...and they say he is a great actor!

Owen Wilson, a vacuous waste of space in every film he's been in. Seems to specialise in playing the same character in every film; the laid back, down home aw-shucks second banana to intensely irritating leads (Matthew Vaughan Ben Stiller et al). And why oh why does he hang on to that horrendous '70s stoner hairdo?
Cheers
Ian
Clive Owen
Keira Knightly
Ben Affleck
None of them have any acting credibility, in my opinion.
AL PACINO
Especially recent Al Pacino, everything is now just the same hoo-haa angry evil-eyed twat.
If we are going with Al Pacino (which breaks my heart to agree with) then surely we need to add Robert DiNero, when was the last time he did anything decent.
And for that matter Johnny Dep has turned crap lately also!

Obviously Arnie is a joke, as are all of the expendables.
ALL the star trek original cast except afew.
Christopher Lambert, although I still enjoy the first Highlander and Fortress.
[QUOTE=Chinnock;3924601]Exceptional in True Romance and Leon mind.[/QUOT
Gary Oldman was mentioned.....?
Can't believe that no ones mentioned the most famous of all - Dev Alahan from the corner shop in Corrie!!
No votes for Chris Hemsworth?
Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor in The Terminator. So wooden she made Arnold look good.
Sean Bean can't act but watchable
Ian Mckellen terrible actor, he seems to think putting on a fake deep voice is character acting.
Ones named so far are Oscar winners compared to Kristen Stewart. Worst bit of acting? ever seen in that Huntsman crap although Charlize showed that you could rise above a crap script.
A lot of these mentioned must be feeling insecure in their Hollywood homes. There is a Family Guy scene when Matthew Mcconaughey is at a bar with either Brian or Peter (can't remember which) and Matthew is being mocked but says it's not easy getting $20 million per picture. Guys like Pacino have done it and like old bands there prime is behind them so they take what get's offered. DeNiro was prob. best in Heat in recent years. Val Kilmer was never v.good imo
Tommy Lee Jones gives off splinters every time he goes on set.
Can't believe some of the original real dross have not been mentioned, John Wayne, Robert Mitchum, Norman wisdom, Burk dogard, Clint Eastwood, Sorry I've drifted into American haven't I.
Annoyingly they must be doing something right and in the case of eg Cage it beats working for a living. Heard a piece on R4 recently about getting a script to film. One writer mentioned about how Cage and the Director were paid $10 million each to be free for a period of time (a few months) in case the film got a green light. It didn't. How good is that? He went on further to say this was actually good business for the film company as the film would have cost $150 million to make so the company was actually in pocket!!
