Hi all my dad is looking to bid on a watch at auction but i wanted to see what you guys think of it ad i have no clue about this watch.

Here is the description given by the auctioner.

The picture will only be visible if one is logged into rolexforums.com. You'll need to host it elsewhere for most people here to see it.

I would take a real look at the size. If he's aware fine but its easy to overlook that its a 32mm watch. Putting things in perspective, people currently debate whether 36mm is too small for a watch, with many manufacturers discontinuing this size.

32mm is going to wear really small; I don`t mind smaller watches but anything below 33 is getting a bit too small. That's how things were back I the 50s, though.

Judging by how clean the dial looks, I`d say it's been refinished. However, on this type of watch I don`t see that as an issue provided it's been done well.

For me, the size would be too small. I own several 34mm watches which look fine, but this is a bit too small IMO.

This looks similar: http://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/au...1-a44700d2f5c3 - estimated at ~£400-00 back in 2013... no idea what it actually sold for of course!
