    New Member - Hello all.

Hi all, I've been lurking a little while an thought I'd say hello.
I've got a couple of watches that I adore, but when funds permit, I think a birth year Speedmaster would be a lovely treat.
Anyway - these are my 2.

Well, so far I've managed to grab an Elliot Brown from E-Bay - so happy with it - I've got big hands so it works ok for me. :)
Not the best photo ever but you get the idea.

Welcome and in regard to the Speedie I can only hope you are nearer to 27 then 47. Sadly I see my Speedie disappearing out of sight! I say get a Mark2 while you can at a sensible price and buy new. All things considered including the resale (gone up 30% in a year) a Speedie brought new from Iconic has got to be the best value watch there is. Unless you have absolute buckets and want to risk Rolex Daytona's staying high.

    New Member - Hello all.

Welcome! It's a dangerous place, I've spent more on watches here than on my car. The car that I bought on here

    Hello and Welcome

A birth year Speedy is next on my to buy list!

Fortunately for me my birth year does not mean I have to buy a moon era Speedy but I will have to buy a vintage model.

Sadly I'm nearer the 47 than the 27 :) but as my children are my wealth, I'm sure I'll be able to afford it soon. Maybe auction their kidneys or something.

The Elliot Brown took my eye, as its a British watch maker based in Poole, I believe, and the fact it's quartz does not bother me, especially at the second hand price I paid. I've got a Seiko 5 SNZH55 which I hope to convert to a FFF at some point.
I'm chuffed to bits every time I look at it.
