very nice watch....but I prefer the older 38mm version

A very inspired limited edition (apparently 250 of each colour). Quite svelte at 41 X 10 mm, with a dial to die for.
More details here: https://monochrome-watches.com/girar...selworld-2016/
Will probably cost an arm and most of a leg... Still, really good looking and of much more wearable dimensions compared to the last iteration.
Cheers,
Christian

Looks lovely but Inwould wait till they are available at discount. Which somehow happens with GP watches.
I like it, would mind adding one to the collection. It would have to be the white/silver dial so the date window is the same colour.
The blue however is a stunning shade
There are many styling cues from other 'better' makers
Case lugs = Vacheron Constantin Overseas
Bezel = Audemars Piguet Royal Oak (minus bolts)
Dial = Audemars Piguet Royal Oak
Crown = iwc ingenieur (ish)
Bracelet = iwc ingenieur (with polished centre links)
None of which is a criticism, as all the styling cues I like and now in one watch
The Specs are:

If I was playing Watch Manufacturer Top Trumps, I would rather have Girard Perregaux than IWC :)
You missed out on one – http://www.ebay.com/itm/GIRARD-PERRE...-/111726949463 – but this one might still be available…http://theluxurycloset.com/product/view/?id=31574
If you can get past the two-tone, then…

http://www.villagegoldsmithantiques....ntage-antique/ – might be too much with the salmon pink dial and diamond bezel, assuming they even still have it.
Strange that in the newer limited edition the brushing on the case is in a different direction to the bracelet. It took me a while to figure out why the old one looks so much better (of course there's also the dial colour, chapter ring and size). Pyramid dials are cool though, no matter what else. It's a watch that history and watch fora seem to have forgotten, strange since it looks so clearly looks like a cross between a Royal Oak and a Nautilus, has its own unique heritage, and benefits from GPs legendary depreciation.

The post on the Salon QP thread reminded me of this release . Any idea on current RRP in the U.K.
I can see in the US it is starting to appear in grey listings at 30% off approx $10k
£10.5k
...but I spied one in Belgium on Chrono24 at around £8.8k........
I had a chance to try the blue version on at Salon QP and am struggling not to make a purchase.
One thing stopping me is that I had a chat with the team on the stand they mentioned that SIHH could see the introduction of more Laureato pieces in differing sizes and colours. Unfortunately this is where the teaser stopped.
Seems like waiting for SIHH in Jan would be a good idea.
I understood this was a special LE piece so the prospect of new non LE models is interesting
Indeed - they did mention that there will be points of difference. But it has also dampened my enthusiasm so need to hold out for a couple of months to see how things play out.
Hopefully the price will be a point of difference
