No. Looks fine.
Sold this a couple of days ago because I felt it was too small on my 7.75 inch wrists but the deal fell through and I decided to give it another chance.
What do you think?
No. Looks fine.
Looks perfect to me Ryan, but I'll happily join the que to purchase it from you.

Too small for what?
If it can be easily read, then it isn't, if you prefer a watch to fill your wrist then it is.
As long as it is legible, the size 'thing' is purely personal.
That looks fine :)
You don't that style of watch to be any bigger.
I'm always of the belief that if you are asking yourself that question, more often than not you know the answer. You just know by instinct if something isn't right, like buying a jacket that's a bit too tight fitting. Generally you'll size up,especially if you're more comfortable with a larger size.
my wrist are bigger than yours and i'd wear that in a heartbeat! i'll be looking for something similar later in the year.

marchingontogether!
A full photo including your hand would be nice... I myself have a thin wrist and big hands.
Too small. Sell it to me :)
I'm only half joking....
Good size. An oyster should show a link or two on either side of the watch head in my opinion, that's how they've always worn so this keeps the original feel while being a bit more modern. The sports models tend to fill the wrist a little more but these are a bit dressier, while still being smart or casual. Great watches, I fancied one myself but it actually wore slightly large on me.
*maybe try a photo in a mirror with a suit jacket on - phone wrist shots from close up can be quite deceptive.

Looks like a tiny ickle Rolex button.
Please PM me with your best price
With that kind of discreet styling - no complications, plain indices, grey dial - I think it would look a bit peculiar if scaled up to Big Watch dimensions, would be shouting about how modest it was.
If the styling caught your eye in the first place, I guess that kind of thing appeals to you? In which case this is the right size for you?
Looks just about right to slide neatly under the cuff. Nice.
Looks spot on in my opinion. Very nice piece.
Looks good.
Looks good to me.
Looks great (and that's from someone who wanted to buy it the other day).
No.
Or at least put it this way, with such a clean dial if you bloated it to 38/40mm it would look like a silly dinner plate.
Honestly, that looks perfect.
If you are used to wearing divers etc it takes time to adjust.
The first time I tried on a 36mm Explorer, I thought it was way too small. After a few weeks I loved it.
Ok thanks gents, always nice to get other's perspectives. And yes it is the 39mm version
It depends on how big you are to an extent. One of my former colleagues was a huge bloke - at least 6'6" with a massive build as well (former rugby player) and he wore a 36mm (or whatever) DJ - it looked daft on him IMHO
Looks totally fine. Nice size to wear everyday.
The 40mm Day Date is a perfect size imo. The 39mm isn't far off at all. Anything 38mm-42mm seems to be a sweet spot.
It's just a matter of time...
Too big! 36mm FTW as far as I'm concerned with this style of watch.
But too small it ain't!
I'll be honest, I think it DOES look too small for you.
If it's 39mm you must have huge wrists...

I got bit with the I must have a dinner plate bug myself , 3-4 super avengers later and more..
Im now wearing a Submariner 40mm and a Seamaster 41mm and love both.
Wear what makes you happy ;)
The Oyster on a bracelet almost has the look of an integrated bracelet watch; the bracelet and the head 'flow' into each other owing to the shape of the lugs (an effect that's been lost on the later square lug Rolex models). This effect is more obvious with a link showing either side on a larger wrist and that's how the watch is supposed to look in my opinion. I think it looks fine; when the watch was current the question wouldn`t even have entered your head!

Ok guys, so do you think the watch looks too big? ;)
Does my bum look big in this :)
This will be up to you to decide.
Looks perfectly fine to me.
Looks awesome.
Looks small. I find 36mm is like wearing a ladies watch.
Made the mistake of buying a 36mm Explorer, Big regret.
Any more photos? Been looking at this one & the blue dial. Size looks spot on.
Looks fine. Massive non-divers look stupid (except pilot watches)
So what would you have worn 30 years ago when the current crop of big watches didn`t exist?
The swing towards big watches has created this perception that the watch must fill the wrist.......that wasn't the case in the past.
A 36mm watch doesn`t look like a ladies watch, but clearly it does in your head. Unless you've got wrists like a bear a 36mm watch looks fine.
Paul
Looks good, anything bigger and you will have problems with standard shirt cuffs.
