I like the virus/plague/post apocalypse stuff, has anyone watched "Day 5"? Is it any good? Any others I should look at?

Just binged watched all of Happy! really enjoyed it, the juxtaposition of sweet cartoon characters and violence was odd but worked.

In the middle of The Alienist which hasn't hooked me yet.

Finished two series of Friday Night Dinner which I thoroughly enjoyed, will have to re-watch The Green Wing as Mark Heap and Tamsin Greig are two of my favourite actors.

That is my favourite genre also - I presume you have watched The Last Ship?

Also, Falling Skies, Colony, The 100, 12 Monkies, rEvolution?

Yes, and struggling to find anything new. Whilst not the same genre, "The Last Resort" is worth a watch.

    Have you tried Travellers? Excellent.

    I would also recommend Continuum.

Ascension is very good, and quite different.

    and try 11.22.63

I'll check out The Last Resort - thanks. Premise looks good, shame it was only one season.

    ^ +1 for 11.22.63, highly recommended!

I've binned off a few series recently including both Designated Survivor and Narcos.

I thoroughly enjoyed the season finale of Homeland despite wondering where it was all going halfway through the season and I'm glad Westworld is back on our screens. I also found myself getting into SEAL Team off the back of SIX which is due to return at the end of the month, followed by Shooter in June and the third season of The Man in the High Castle towards the end of the year.

For those of your wondering how I manage to keep track I use a great little Android app called Hobi which allows you to track the TV shows you're already watching and discover new ones (no affiliation).

As for the program it’s ok, but I think it’s running out of plot

A new Danish, virus/post-apocalyptic series has just been added to Netflix (in France) called 'The Rain'. I haven't tried it, but the IMDB reviews are not encouraging.

That sounds like one of the overly-specific categories on Netflix. Frankly if it were, I would definitely watch whatever was in it.

Any good New TV Series worth watching

May have been mentioned already but just watched season one of Lilyhammer on Netflix, it’s perfectly watchable and it’s a weird blend of dark humour and underworld buffoonery

Bosch is the one show just now i seem to be able to just watch the whole thing through within days, i love how a new series just arrives without much fanfare, so you always get a nice surprise, it's a simple enough format, but well acted and well written.

Season 3 of the "The Expanse" has been very good so far, but it looks like SyFy will not be renewing this for a 4th season.

If you have Netflix you could try ‘the rain’ scandi show covering all three, teen focused watched it in the UK dub rather than stub titled, not the best and strangely not the worse.

Ok, that's good to hear - at least there is a chance for a proper resolution.

What happened with Dark Matter was a disgrace in my view.

Also the crossing on amazon might work, reviews seem okay but I found it hard to get into.

just watched the first couple of episodes of Hostages on Netflix. Shaping up to be a typically tense, well-conceived and well-acted Israeli series.

Taskmaster. Season 5 is very very funny.

Just tried watching Safe with the bloke out of dexter in it. I really enjoyed dexter but gave up on Safe after half hour. Bad accents, lumpy acting and in truth couldn't be arsed

Just started 'Happy' on Netflix last night, its pretty crazy! The violence and bloodbath action with the cartoon blue unicorn ( yes really ) is a odd combination but works so far!

Watched Safe on Netflix with my wife - we both enjoyed it, though it did fee like a cross between Midsummer Murders and an Agatha Christie whodunit at some points.
