I must admit after what I'd read that I thought I would really enjoy this? I've the last episode to watch. I've struggled to get this far but the last two episodes have kept me on side.
Agree it it is beautifully shot with a 70's vibe ..... but as with all musical recreations of the past, the realism leaves a lot to be desired. The actors are good especially Billy Dunne and Daisy, but I don't really believe they are a band, almost like watching the Monkee's in some episodes.
Yes a nod towards Fleetwood Mac, but without the 'real' chaos that musicians cause. For me Pistol on Disney portrayed the disfunction better. Maybe the fictional element of the show, got in the way of portraying the 70's how they really were? Read Debbie Harry's memoir if you really want to get transported back to that era.
I'm rather enjoying Grease: rise of the pink ladies.
It's "contemporary" but so was grease in '78, in its own way.
Oh and Enterprise with Captain Archer. You know... T'Pol and stuff.

I actually went on a Soprano's set and location tour many years ago (with "Vito" as our host on the day) and there was a quiz on the coach as we drove between locations. After answering 5 straight questions correctly my girlfriend at the time said "put your hand up one more time and we'll get whacked by the others on the tour......"
Sage advice so I shut up!
The Sopranos gets better and deeper with each watch, like a great novel!
Better call Saul is also incredible ( and I actually prefer it to breaking bad ).
True detective series 1 is also riveting viewing.
It’s true what the say though, the TV holy trinity is Sopranos, the Wire and Breaking bad.

I'll admit to some bias as the subject matter is rather close to my heart but I can recommend a new series on Neflix called Translantic. I'd advise some perseverance beyond episode 1 - it's deliberately shot in quite a lurid colour tone which belies the rather serious subject matter (Varian Fry and the evacuation of Jewish refugees from under the nose of the Nazis in 1941 Marseille). Some really strong performances and I think I've fallen very deeply in love with Deleila Piasko. Some delightful vintage watches which I was sadly unable to identify.
In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
Ploughed through 7 episodes of Beef last night.
Well worth a watch-netflix.
Finished 2nd series of Your Honor last week. Felt it was slow for the first 3 episodes but really enjoyed it after that and the ending sets it up for a third series.
Beef is brilliant on many levels.
Watched Beef and was unsure whether is was brilliant or just a bit weird - maybe it's just me?
Re-watching The Man in the High Castle again with my 16 year old son - he's loving it and binge watched S1/S2 during the holidays.
Started Under the Dome on Ch5 - starts off well....let's see how it goes on.
It's not new but ive recently been bingeing on Longmire (amazon prime). Crime drama about a local sherrif working with/by the Cheyenne reservation.
It's VERY good and ive been gripped.
Plus Katee Sackhoff in uniform.
Enjoyed The Night Agent on Netflix. Worth a watch first couple of episodes are slow but it builds and does not disappoint.
It’s not new (2017) - but I recently watched & enjoyed Godless on Netflix.
It’s been on my watchlist for ages & a couple of long flights meant I had chance to binge watch most of it.

Loving the final season (4) of Succession. Some of the best writing and acting of recent years on display here.

Ripper Street on Amazon Prime, an older series, just on the last Episode of Series 3, excellent TV.
Did Amazon make any Ripper Street episodes or just get the rights to show it?

Last king of king cross, excellent watch.
On episode 5 from 7 of The Night Manager on Amazon Prime. Apparently from 2016, John Le Carre, big budget and stellar cast. Most enjoyable.
Watching "The Diplomat" on netflix, 4 episode in and enjoying it

Started watching the Diplomat on Netflix - only 1 episode in but looking good.
The Truth Will Out. 2 seasons. Swedish policing in the style of the Sjöwall & Wahlöö stories and the original (Swedish) Millennium series. On Prime
Binge-worthy.
If it is the same series, it’s an excellent excellent program, which if I remember correctly has Hugh Laurie in it too!

Apparently season 2 is in the works, with Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Jonathan Pine.
Had a recommendation for this comedy series and thus far really enjoying it;

Mrs Davis, only seen the one episode so far, quirky...A feisty Nun with a past, a NEARLY all pervasive and omniscient AI, Schrodinger and his cat, THE holy grail quest, nefarious stage Magicians, shadowy cabals... I think it's got potential to be something really quite different and funny.
Star Trek: Picard season three has been outstanding overall, and the grand finale episode ten was just about perfect for any TNG fan.
So clever my foot fell off.
