Don't know how I ever missed The Americans when it released long ago. Three episodes in and I'm hooked.

Saw the start of the trailer and thought it was another booking.com advert. Couldn't take him seriously after that.

Not new but the superlative 'The Thick Of It' is now on iPlayer in its entirety. Glorious.

One of the funniest, crudest shows i’ve watched for ages, plenty of proper laugh out loud moments!

Watching Hijack starring Idris Elba & Max Beesley

4 episodes in apart from a couple of realy poor attempts at humour I think it's going to be a good watch

    Anyone else seen it?

Really enjoying ‘Mr Inbetween’ on Disney+. He’s a man who will do almost anything for money, mostly used as a Hitman.

Yes, am watching this and enjoying it so far.

Only issue so far, was the ending of episode 3, into the start of episode 4, there’s a part missing.

Yep - that was good, just as all the series have been. Shame it's the last one.

For fun I would also recommend Citadel - sort of quite James Bondish and Priyanka Chopra is absoutely brilliant and gorgeous.

Currently working through Atlanta. Initially it was a bit predictable rap to riches, but later on it's become like Tales of the Unexpected meets Entourage. It's really interesting.

Agree, have watched all 3 series, hilarious in places, especially with his Sydney bogan mates.

Although the actor playing "Mr Inbetween" - Scott Ryan - lives in St Kilda Melbourne

The Bear is genuinely so good for me it's right up there with the very very best TV shows I've ever seen. S2 is absolutely incredible television.

    I loved it.

Will be watching it again shortly!

Yes, but did Amazon decide to cut down in lighting? This current series is 75% in dark rooms/at night! Why? No fancy CGI that needs to be hidden in the shadows! I even went back and rewatched old episodes in case it is ‘the look’ of the series, no, just this series.

Jack Ryan is Prime is is not? So quite likely that Disney would be in the dark about it.

Half the first series is just shouting, but once it calms down it's excellent. Series two Christmas episode feels more like reality than TV

I've tried and failed several times to get her in on it so I can watch it again. Got to be honest, a big part of the attraction is Keri Russell's arse, but it's a brilliant show.

Earth on BBC. As stunning as you'd expect a BBC natural history series to be, and Chris Packham is shaping up to be a credible successor to David Attenborough.

Thanks for the reminder on Citadel, we started it and then for no reason stopped watching it. Too many series in the go I guess.

Currently going old school. 24 and Sopranos are the current evening defaults.

Just finished Jack Ryan S4 and The Sixth Commandment on BBC1.

The former was very good. The latter was brilliant. Great writing and acting and quite moving / sad. Even more so being a true story.

I finished watching A Spy Among Friends last night starring Guy Pearce and Damien Lewis

Thought it was a very good telling of the cold war spy era and cleverly adapted for TV I've read some of the other books that Ben Macintyre has written and they've all been very good
Guy Pearce was excellent as Kim Philby, I think he's a very underated actor

    Anyone else enjoyed this?

Have to agree, thoroughly enjoying it.
We have just watched episode 6 how many more are there?
As we have currently caught up.

Lincoln Lawyer - Netflix is another good series.
    Just started watching S2

Started watching World on Fire on BBC One, but it was rather spoiled when one spitfire pilot shouted ‘eject Steven, eject’ as the plane burst into flames.
Also the aerial sequences look almost childlike when compared to the 1969 film Battle of Britain. Not really the series I hoped it was.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

I haven't seen it, and going on your comments, I never will.

Not new, and not available to stream afaik, but I've just finished watching an old recording of Edge Of Darkness. Still brilliant nearly 40 years(!) later. Curiously my taste in women seems to have outgrown Joanne Whalley; I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Slight aside on perception; 30 years seems like a long time ago, but 1993 doesn't.

Have you seen the film about Turner?

One of very few films I gave up on part way through.
