That's really encouraging, thanks for sharing. My experiences have always been that they wash their hands of any problems you report so hopefully they're using forums like this one to obtain feedback and improve their customer experience.
Ordered a watch from Creation Watches a couple of weeks ago, nothing exciting only a Seiko 5. To cut a long story very short the subcontract courier to DHL didn't deliver it.....courier and watch went missing...
Took a few emails to Creation and a bit of patience due to the time difference but they fully refunded me and another watch is on the way.
Sally and Vanya at Creation were great, it does take a while to sort a mess out sometimes but it shows that they are a company who will help when things go wrong. DHL on the other hand.....

Well I hope they are good as I'm just about to pull the trigger on my first watch from them.
I have bought about four from Creation with no problems at all. As has been covered elsewhere, one came from Japan and attracted duty etc -that took a few days extra to arrive. The ones from Singapore arrived very quickly -a few days

thanks for sharing. Its sometimes the way with online forums that you only read bad stuff/problems!
I suspect they can get their money back from DHL for non-delivery. :-)
A few years back I purchased a skx007j from creation watches. Out of the box the hour and minute hands where drastically misaligned. Emailed them several times about the issue! Never got an response! Not purchased a watch from them again.
Had three from them. No problems. Quick delivery. I guess it's like anything...if something goes wrong your in for a bit of a faff on especially with them being in another country. From my research into them before making my first purchase and this post, it seems to me they do their best to rectify any problems that may occasionally arise.
Soz for the bump, I see Creation have started to sell Omega, along with Tag Heuer. Unless I'm mistaken the prices don't seem too far off the high street, especially when considering import duties. I just thought it was interesting as it's quite a step up from the usual Seiko/Orient/ stuff they're known for. Or have they always sold stuff like that and I've not noticed?
I've bought several watches from them in the last 2-3 years and not (luckily) had any issues at all.
Interesting to see that they are now selling more up market High St brands - not sure how that will pan out, certainly from a UK buyer's POV. I know they used to sell a few Hamiltons when I first used them....but still less than £1k territory.
Yeah it seems there's little issue with duties when shipped from Singapore, but you get hit if shipped from Japan (?)
The amount of "measuring devices" I've had over the years, my postman must think I'm an architect or something.
I had a watch from Creation stuck at customs for over a month. When I phoned customs to chase it, I had quite a friendly chat with a guy who said they are well aware of the 'measuring device' wrinkle, and had stopped a huge number of parcels for that reason of which mine was one.
I've had three or four orders from Creation and none of them incurred any extra charges.
Just as an aside, I bought a watch two weeks ago from WatchShop (uk) and sodding DHL "lost" that too. Have to wait now 21 days before being refunded but it's pretty poor stuff from DHL that, it's starting to make me conscious of what shops use which courier companies.
No issues or extra charges for my 007J
Skywatches seem to be cheaper for the same stock these days, any thoughts on them?
I've bought from them, although not recently. All went well. For the avoidance of doubt, I am referring to http://skywatches.com.sg. (There used to be a different company with a similar name).
I've also had excellent and very helpful service from http://watches88.com in Malaysia.
Thanks for sharing. I'm very satisfied with their service so far, although I never faced a similar issue with them in the past, so good to know their support is as good as their service. Thanks.
Skywatches have some good prices, but they won't ship some marques to the EU, notably Seiko Prospex.
Do Sky watches declare customs correctly?
I reckon we really should stop asking questions like these in public. ;-)
Even if they do not declare correctly, an item can still get stopped and checked so lack of correct declaration does not absolutely guarantee lack of import VAT. Thus I think it best to budget for the VAT and courier's fee even when buying from vendors and jurisdictions that are well known for creativity on CN22s.
Glad to hear it Mark. Of course I do the same
Irish customs always catch creation parcels for me, it's a pain
If there are customs charges (the only charges on a watch will be VAT and the courier's handling fee) then you will receive a bill.
If the courier is Royal Mail or Parcelforce then the bill needs to be paid before delivery. Royal Mail put a card through the letter box allowing you to pay the charges at the local Delivery Office or online. Parcelforce send a little letter-like thing that allows you to pay online or by phone. The delivery of the actual item then follows.
Most other courier companies deliver first and then bill you later for the taxes and their handling fee.

My watch came via SINGAPORE POST.
No handling fee, no additional charges.
I ordered the watch without a box, so it was just a small packet.
