Yes, just the latest model... Diashield coating and MEMS movement parts are the only difference, I think.
Since swapping my 116100LN for my son's Zenith, I'm missing the sub.
Can someone please tell me the difference between the MM300 SBDX017 and the SBDX001, or is it just the latest model?
Happy Xmas to all.
"Prospex" signed crown too.
Love the way this pic from Seiya has been touched up, presumably to edit the out of focus brushed area on the case side in the "foreground", which now appears to be polished.

Have a look at Tony's lovely golden one, Dave!
1) New brighter and longer lasting lume (but much greener)
2) Movement parts manufactured with MEM's
3) Signed crown
4) Diashield coating
Interesting, but gets a bit weird.

MEMS technology is a skill transferred to Grand Seiko from Seiko's semi-conductor making division. A part made by MEMS is more durable than a machined part, and it is more resistant to abrasion. SEIKO's MEMS technology delivers precision in manufacturing 2 to 5 times greater than any machining process on Earth.
