    Christmas Sales thread...

The sales are starting it seems. I've found a couple of things but nothing too exciting:

    Goldsmiths... http://www.goldsmiths.co.uk/c/SALE/f...rt_price+desc/
    Beaverbrooks... http://www.beaverbrooks.co.uk/sale?s...es&pageSize=0#
HS Johnson (linked to a watch that doesn't look recognisable in the slightest. Totally unique and not a copy of an IWC at all)... https://www.hsjohnson.com/watches-c1...ic-watch-p5249
    Jura watches: http://www.jurawatches.co.uk/collections/sale

If you spot any sales or bargains, it would be great to list them here.

These are OK discounts I think...

The pic is wrong in the second link, it's a 410 annual calendar rather than an Aeronef.

It is interesting to note that certain high street chain discount stock because they have been mishandling it. 2 Breitling with clear damage to DLC and scratch to AR coating.

I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone grumbling about Ball quality - the designs can be a bit divisive ... but if *you* like *that* watch, then that's scarcely an issue, is it? :)

I bought this as I started my journey to visit my family, it'll be delivered to my neighbour just before I get back home tomorrow. I love the internet.

Selfridges said 10% off everything apart from Panerai and AP today which could be worth it for some of the more obscure brands although everything looks a bit "handled" to be honest and the crowd wouldn't make for a relaxing purchase experience at the moment.

Alas no, current finances don't allow for this but a work colleague snapped it up. It really is cracking value at that price.

Might be a good second-hand deal for someone in the us given you can check it and then return it:

The new Ernest Jones outlet in Livingston has a nice selection of Balls with 50% off. It should be possible to negotiate a further 10% discount if you ask. Their Facebook page is at www.facebook.com/Ernestjoneslivi/

They will take orders over the phone and post nationally if there's anything that takes your fancy. I think payment has to be made with an Ernest Jones gift card if the transaction is done over the phone.

Lack of attention to detail ;)

I'm just purchased my first Prestige watch an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean and love it.
Thanks for taking time to post on the forum. There wasn't really need to explain yourself IMO. Enjoy your new watch... post some pics :-)

If anybody is interested wos regent Street had a just released Zenith elite 6150, the new elite twin barrel 100hr movement piece, for £3500, which I think is 30% off

Also some Nomos, including a Zurich date silver dial at around £2400 or so and a blue Zurich world time also for about 30% off if memory serves

Fraser heart Brent Cross have a rather tasty Zenith el primo @£4.4k reduced from £5.9k

They had a deal on a few others including ultra thin.

I was very tempted by the el primo

If it was my post that prompted the purchase , glad another member grabbed it.

I was weighing up if I could justify it so soon after the explorer. The gold tone of the face is really nice.

The sales guy told me the reason for the reduction is they have a few in stock they would like to shift hence the drop in price so I wonder if another could be had.

It was your post that prompted the purchase, yes- thank you for the heads up! I've been looking out for one for a while and almost bought from iconic

I think the one I bought was the last available of that particular model but I think there are several other zeniths in their sale that are tempting, such as a perpetual calendar and big date that could be available still.

    Happy new year all!
