There’s little to no love for overpriced TAGs here, and even less for the quartz ones. Only you can decide if it’s worth what you’re prepared to offer.
Thinking of putting in an offer on this...
Boxed, paperwork etc...
How much do you reckon?

That dial is busier than a one legged man in an arse kicking contest

No. Unless, you are a door to door salesman.
It's horrible.
Definately too much going on there for my liking.
Too busy for me and don't like the date placement but who cares! You obviously like it so don't worry about us! 😀
Not my cup of tea however you didn't ask if we like it you asked how much to offer so when it comes to Ebay I always go in low and for something like a Quartz Tag about 50% and work from there unless the starting price is too silly!!
Beware of millions of copies of Tags and buy into the seller as much as the watch or keep posting and wait then spend your hard earned on something worthwhile in SC! Contrary to the above posts they even sell the odd Tag Quartz ;-)
Usually go in with a PM first to get an idea?!
Good luck and I hope you get it for what you would like to pay
Chris
You obviously like it. I wouldn't ask on here, better to ask your spouse/significant other and see how much grief (or otherwise) will ensue.
Thank you.
I'm also considering an Oris Diver..
Stunning!
What diameter is it?
That is a shocker if there ever was one. As if it was not bad enough that it is a TAG. It is a bad TAG.
Can buy this for £700 instead.. Don't know much about Oris
You will find much more love for the Oris. There are many fans of the aquis on this forum...
If you must go for an old quartz Tag could I suggest you look for a 1000 series, a reasonably understated and attractive diver that can trace its styling heritage back to pre-Tag Heuer. Yes, I'm biased as I have one as a beater and actually think it is quite a nice cheap watch.
But the one in the OP is horrible. Sorry.
Well as an owner of an Oris Small Seconds I can sincerely tell you that there is no competition here. I have nothing against Tag Heuer and did have a Carrera which I could not fault one bit but I think the Oris is in a different league to a quartz watch.
of the 2 id get the oris.
a great brand in my opinion, but i might be biased.
Not for me. Dial is way to cluttered IMO.
If you like it though and it sings to you then go for it and enjoy it.
My immediate thought: aren't folk able to make decisions for themselves anymore?
The biggest thing on the Tag to put me off,,, the plastic bezel, yuk.
As to the Oris,,, very nice indeed, good solid nicely made watch, I have an Aquis black with orange indices
One thing I would say is that some of the earlier Oris diver offerings like that above look rather bulbous with the case bulging out past the bezel which is what always put me off them. I have had a couple of classic big crowns though which looked great and never gave me any problems so if you can get on with the looks then maybe Oris isn't a bad place to start.
You surely mean the titanium carbide coated bezel in this model.
To the OP, in answer to your question its not a particularly desirable/popular model but if YOU like it that's irrelevant. If you get it for £300-350 you're probably gonna be able to get your money back if you re-sell on eBay but prob not on here!
Edit
It's been dropped at some point, landing on its crown. I'd walk away unless it was dirt cheap.

Not a fan!
I like some Tags, but that one is just too shouty for me.
I quite like the look of a lot of tags, not that one though, I'd be spending my money on the Oris.
Oris for me too. TT1 I bought about 9 years ago that will probably be with me for my remainder .
I think Tag lost the plot at some point - I don't like any of their modern designs. The more vintage models are way better particularly the 1000m versions.
+1 for Oris pictured, mine is one of my favourites.
For the asking price you are not far off an Omega seamaster Quartz.
Contrary to popular opinion on here, I don't this it's that bad. If you like it and the price is right, why not?
I wouldn't take into account the replies on TZ, to be honest, but then I wouldn't have asked for opinions on here anyway.
