Can anyone recommend me a good quality cotton polo for work? I have used M&S for years but the quality has fallen through the floor. I work in a college so don't want Hugo Boss and the like (which I do wear casually) but a good hard wearing work one seems to be hard to find. Any suggestions? Looking to by 8 or 10 with a budget of about £25-£30 each.

When I worked in events, we had Fruit of the Loom polo shirts. They were surprisingly long lasting!

Orvis stuff is generally hard wearing and, at this time of year, the polos are probably in the sale which should bring them into your budget.
Uniqlo are half decent and seem to last a while for the price. I have a few plain versions which are 100% cotton and they have done really well.
The last time I looked though (for replacements), they were all awful patterns and/or poly-cotton mixes.
Historically Lacoste used to be great, but nowadays they seem to be rubbish yet still cost the same £££'s.
Gap Polos also used to be pretty good, but then they also went down the pan in terms of quality.

Superdry polos are one of the few items I'll buy from them. Their classic ones are usually somewhat understated compared to the rest of the tat they sell and they fit quite nicely ( well me anyway) and are quite hard wearing.
Also Merc (who have kinda lost their way recently if you ask me) but their polo's are still good.
I also had some Pretty Green ones that were quite nice but not worth the money over the merc ones.

Plain colour Uniqlo
I've found Sainsbury pretty good for Polo shirts. They are much better than M&S, heavier material.. and seem to wear & wash well... oh and cheep as chips.
Just bought a Fat Face one and the quality is great

Ralph Lauren polo shirts seem to be good. Decent quality and fit. They can be bought for a good price in TK maxx

Presumably you’re looking for plain colours (if not just black or white), in which case see what the other brands have as well.

Charles Tyrwhitt seem OK, and they have 3 for £50 and there is usually a discount code somewhere for 10-15% available. Also do long sleeve if you fancy a change.
More expensive but All Saints ones are really nice.

I bought a couple from 'Help for Heroes' and found them to be excellent quality and value. I was so impressed I went back and bought some more.
Hanes Beefy polo shirts off eBay (not the lighter or polyester versions)
Try Primark. They're super cheap but the quality isn't bad at all. for £30 you can probably buy ten and at that price you can wear them a few times and then just chuck them in the bin and buy some more.
It depends on how you define medium and how accurate the sizing is.
Superdry sizing is the worst for me. I have to take their biggest size, XXL, and it is very tight and too long in the torso. I am just the right side of 100kg and rather broad. Conversely, Ralph Lauren size L fits me perfectly.
