It feels a lot like the SKX on the wrist and is as easy to wear. It looks a fair bit bigger though.

I have the black and gold version like in the review and a 009. I think the Turtle looks and feels a lot bigger on the wrist than the 009 and I am not thin wristed. The bracelet as mentioned in the review while nice really does add to the bulk and a rubber strap (Funny enough, I also got a canvas strap to swap too it must be a Seiko Turtle thing) does make a massive difference to it, compare that to the 009 on a bracelet which feel light as a feather. Also the shape of the Turtle case makes it appear larger. That being said, both are very comfortable to wear I think the Turtle would be best suited to a flat style rubber watch strap or canvas whereas the 007/9 can suit either a bracelet or rubber watch strap.

Forgot to add, I got an e-mail from Creation saying they have new stock in.

the turtles are a slight step up from the six divers , love the hacking and winding feature , and the bracelets are of a better quality

I have the Black/Gold one, I'm happy apart from the crown thread is as rough as a badger's bum-hole. Never mind.

If you put some silicone grease on it then it should help enormously.

What he said. Mine was the same way. A couple of dots of silicone grease and the crown screw down is as slick as can be.

    Great!

Was their price best online? Did you check elsewhere? I really want to try the SRP777.

I paid £243 with free shipping. They seem to be going for around £220+ in SC so won't lose much if I don't get on with it, hopefully.

mywatcheshub has much better prices. Not sure about their stock availability, though. Any other sites selling turtles at a good price?

This put me off from Sky Watches

We do not ship these following range of Seiko collections to EU countries: Grand Seiko, Prospex, Astron, Velatura, Premier, Sportura, Ananta
I used Creation as they generally get a good write up and their service hasn't been bad for me so far. Ordered the watch on Thursday and it's going to be delivered tomorrow.

Thanks for that. I will try later on. Just waiting on a trade-in quote, on which I hope for 777 freebie :)

Signed up with Skywatches and found two SRP777 models - J1 and K1
Any idea what the difference is?

    Thanks

Just arrived and as is customary, for me anyway, straight on the wrist.

Strap is soft and feels really good. A lot better than OEM straps of the past. However, I'm shocked at how much dust it's attracted in the space of ten minutes. Essentially not a problem as will be wearing on a NATO strap long term.

The watch itself is very well built and doesn't feel cheap. I currently wear a 116600 daily and while not in the same category, it doesn't feel like a bad watch. Bezel action is very satisfying but crown is a little rough but how often are you going to be unscrewing it?

I would recommend it for definite.

Has anyone in the UK received a turtle or any other Prospex from Sky? In the past they wouldn't ship Prospex models to the EU.

Do you think the J model if available, is the better choice?

They told me they wouldn't ship one to uk. The were happy to ship to a friend living in Taiwan. When they have stock again. At that price, worth the wait.

In a sense, yes it is.

The metal keeper became an annoyance as well. Luckily, I found a couple of 22mm NATOs in the watch box ;)

They seemed to have had stock briefly last week and I waited till I got home to order and then they were gone. Checked today and it said one left so I ordered it straight away!

Don't know in the turtle, in the SKX there was no significant difference.

No difference in quality that I've noticed with previous models.

It seemed the 'J' Turtles were equally afflicted with dial problems in the early production.
