Another BLNR to add to the thread.

I decided I'd treat myself for my 50th but that came and went due to the demand for the watch and me not getting my arse in gear, so ended up getting it just before my 51st.

Finally picked up my BLNR with my first ever Rolex AD experience - thoroughly enjoyable one at that, even though they kept the warranty card...Let's see what happens tomorrow, but could this be one of the last BLNR's sold by a UK AD?

    My first Rolex

My first proper Rolex, and very happy with it too - except it runs rather fast. Will be returning it for warranty service once I get my North Flag back.

Having a Rolex day, although I only have two.

Overall, I think I probably prefer the Datejust. Today anyway.

    Show your Rolex.

And this is one that arrived yesterday to its new home. I will get to enjoy it for about a year, then depending on how he behaves, eldest son will receive for his 21st... as it’s his birth year watch.

Having never owned a Rolex sport model before, I won the raffle last month and have been wearing the beautiful two liner sub every day since. Having rather fallen in love with the case size and shape in an entirely unexpected manner, I then also fell for this GMT 2.

The bus was moving in this photo so I hope I get marks for the composition

Almost a mirror image of me....Although I never win raffles, so there the similarity ends. I bought a GMT II (16710) 2007 a couple of months ago as a "collect and keep but not wear" piece, not really being too much in to Rolexesiii (plural?)....Call it peer pressure....and have now just got a 1998 sub with a view to giving it as a 21st for my son (as above). I am wearing it now and have to say that I am reeeallly liking it....And it's very weird. Without wanting to critisise any Rolex wearer....I really didn't see myself amongst this fraternity....I have always considered the brand far to flashy for me so I am now having to deal with my demons as I get the guilty pleasures of liking the Sub I am wearing!!

    PS - nice bus/perfect composition!!!! :)
PPS - you weren't using your phone whilst driving were you.....?

Kindred spirits it seems! I've promised the sub to my little boy too.

    PS Thanks

Finally got the call and picked up my Batman from the AD. Not sure why I waited so long before indicating my interest for the BLNR, but it really is a cracking watch that wears so well. A nice addition to the collection.

From top left to right: Tritium 16600, 14060m, '74 5513, lug-holed Pepsi, Batman, JC.
