    sorry - phone question

    apols in advance for this very boring query

    i want to buy a phone with the following features:

    * decent camera
    * good screen display - 5.5 inch plus
    * good battery life
    * preferably expandable memory, i.e. takes a card
    * relatively fast processor
    *pref android
    * dual sim a bonus but not essential
    * i dont swap phones often so relatively future proof
    * budget £250

    suggestions please!

    i currently have a moto g 2nd gen which i have been fairly happy with but the camera lets it down. this is the main reason for wanting to upgrade.

    i briefly saw a big shiny samsung in duty free recently and was very impressed by the screen but i forget which model it was. i guess it was probably out of budget though.

    many thanks for anyone that bothers to respond . bnd
    Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

    LG G4

    This may be a bit out of your budget but it was £250 the other day

    It's a fantastic phone, I have one and the camera is one of the best in class at the moment, also has expandable memory and you can replace the battery. Not many new phones that you can do that with now, also great screen - can't really fault the phone. Had a 5s previously and surpasses it in everyway and has great battery life too. Enough gushing on my part now..

    Got to be a g4 based on your criteria.

    I had a hold and quick mess about with the camera and was impressed

    Sony Xperia Z3 compact. Now the Z5 is out, the Z3 is cheap.
    And it's water resistant... Best phone I've had in years.

    I would have recommended it too, but he wants 5.5+ inches screen. G4 would be my second recommendation, but having had a G3, I'm not sure it satisfies the CPU and battery criteria

    Or a used HTC M8 from SC. Ticks all the boxes.

    The Oneplus 2 would probably work too.

    Or the moto x play though it doesn't use the best processor

    HTC One M8 (I have this and a great handset) or M9 (may be out of budget).

    Great handset, expandable memory with great battery life and large screen.

    HTC One M8 or M8s with a spigen armour case. Superb build quality, and ticks all your boxes except the dual sim card option.

    Build quality and durability are top notch. My wife and me have had our phones the same length of time, her Samsung S5 looks 1 year old with missing covers that go over the charging port and the microphone isn't working very well at all. The HTC is top notch, you won't be disappointed.

    Ditto - I've got spigen armour on mine and it's great.

    Quite like the extra weight it gives the handset too.

    I bought a One+1 earlier in the year it is a great phone they were selling the remaining stock off from £180 .I won't be buying another HTC or Samsung. The One+2 meets your requirements but they have the frustrating invite system. Wileyfox is a new British company with a decent phone it runs Cyanogen OS a customised version of Android with frequent updates and better security,

    HTC One M8 or if you can stretch budget the dual sim version can be found for around £350.
